We stayed here 3 nights with our Rock Tour in the middle of them. We'd stayed in a private room which turned out to be our own little caravan with fridge, patio and washing horse! Alice Lodge Backpackers was a great hostel. We stayed in a double room, which was an RV with a bed in it. It was winter when we stayed, and they had provided space heaters to keep warm. I stayed in this hostel for a week or so and I really loved it : quiet place, nice dorms, friendly staff, refreshing pool... Everything you can expect after a trip in the desert is there ! Internet is free and it's really rare in Australia and the staff is always happy to help you if you need so. more

Alice Lodge is a great hostel. It is located near to the city centre and it only takes max. 5 minutes to get there by foot. They have roomy rooms, even with a refrigerator and an air conditioner. At Alice Lodge you've got a perfect mixture between chilling and partying. It's quiet during the night so you'll get your beautysleep, cause many people leave for a tour the next morning. I have found my stay at this hostel to be very comfortable. Small rooms (I was in a 4-share) mean no disturbances during the night, and even though I was right on the courtyard noise wasn't an issue. You have to go outside to use the bathrooms and kitchen, so bring a sweatshirt, but the setup is a nice social... more
