We spent 3 nights at Lasseters. You would need a car or be fit enough to use one of the free bikes. It is about 2 kms from the town centre. The first thing to note about Lasseters is it is removed from the city centre; you would really want to have a vehicle or risk a rather lengthy (and hot) walk.
