We were in Alice purely to see Uluru. Having read the reviews of Alice before going, we realised that there wasn’t an awful lot to do at night and therefore looked to stay in the Casino for a bit of nightlife. As it turned out, as far as we could see Lasseters was about the best looking and most modern... more

As other reviews mention this property is a bit out of town but that can be a booth a positive and a negative. I found the room rate to be very reasonable for this town. Rooms are furnished well but starting to look a little dated, the washroom was in dire need of renovation. Dinner at the juicy rump was... more

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel in March 2009 as part of a package tour of New Zealand and Australia, so cannot comment on the room cost but can make observations on the facilities etc and compare it to all the other 'same-standard' 3* or so hotels I stayed in. The hotel is a sprawling collection of low-rise accommodation... more

We spent 3 nights at Lasseters. You would need a car or be fit enough to use one of the free bikes. It is about 2 kms from the town centre. It does not have any lounge facility as such as it includes a casino. The men toilets attached to the main restaurant/bar have a large one way window looking... more

Just stayed overnight after the bus trip via Kings Canyon from Ayers Rock (it's a long way on a bus!). The hotel room was very nice with plenty of room for three adults. The restaurant is very open and when we arrived at 8.45pm, that restaurant said they weren't serving anymore - despite the info saying they kept going till... more

We were pleased with our 3-night stay at Lasseters. Check-in was friendly and the room very well furnished and spacious. The hotel is low-rise with only ground floor and first floor rooms, all with either a patio or balcony and most with views across the Macdonnell Ranges. Good range of toiletries and quality tea/coffee selection. Fridge came in handy as... more

We've just got back from a short stay at Lasseters in Alice Springs and found it met all our expectations without being anything spectacular. We were there for 3 nights and had no complaints, the room was fresh and modern with plenty of room, LCD TV, airy with plenty of light and great air-con if you wanted it. The staff... more

The first thing to note about Lasseters is it is removed from the city centre; you would really want to have a vehicle or risk a rather lengthy (and hot) walk. Don't book this thinking you can just stroll in to town for a meal because you really can't unless you're quite fit...and eager! We stayed in a deluxe room... more

I attended a conference in Alice Springs and the hotel was adjacent to the covention centre - very convenient! Staff was helpful and service was efficient. Food was really good and the breakfasts (in the resteraunt) were great - lots of fresh fruit, pastries, juices, and decent variety of hot breakfast items. Rooms were clean and presentable. But i did... more

The Lasseters Casino is located in the Casino and within walking distance to town (approx 10 – 15mins). It’s also backs onto the MacDonnell Ranges and the Golf Course. Other hotels are a few minutes away like the Crowne Plaza and the Desert Palm Hotel. We had previously stayed at the Crowne Plaza and loved our room but decided to... more
