I stay at Desert Palms at least once a month for work and the place is like a second home to me. Located on Barrett Drive, down the road from the Casino, it is thankfully a very quiet place to stay. Also a two minute drive from the busy town centre, not too far from everything - absolutely walking distance.... More

We spent three nights in Alice Springs and were really happy with our accommodation at Desert Palms Resort. The accommodation was good value - very affordable. There is a swimming pool and parking and it was super quiet and good for relaxing with a wine :) The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us some travel ideas. It doesn't... More

We had a lovely stay at Desert Palms. We found the rooms to be spacious and clean, and they had all the amenities you would expect. Staff were friendly and courteous. The children enjoyed the pool and free WiFi.

I stay here on a regular basis and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I always feel welcome. It's affordable and has a great pool area for those awful hot Alice days. Walking distance to everything. Room is always clean and beds are comfortable, air con is good. Highly recommended.

Desert Palms was a great a place to stay. It was a walking distance to restaurants and the towns casino. Only ten minutes walk to the city and along the way had a great and up close view of the todd river. The room was very spacious had a great view of the mcdonald ranges from my room. The resort... We stayed here for 3 nights as a family, and we can handle the lower scale holidays as long as things are clean and staff are friendly. The website made it look like a beautiful place to stay but it was not. The photos make it look like a massive resort pool when infact it is very small and freezing... More

In short this "Resort" is too far from town (cant walk), very boring for kids (only a pool), all identical and dull, the aircons take HOURS to cool on hot days, they were never cleaned properly each day and coffee basics not restocked properly. We did also have a shocking bed. Very blah.

we popped in for two nights on our way to Adelaide and had no issues. Rooms were equipped with basic amenities and cooking equipment, and a fridge was a handy addition too. We liked the fact that we could do our laundry cheaply and buy the detergent there. Pool area was nice and clean and took a swim during the... More

We recently went to back to Alice , we were thinking of doing things in style and I was worried that 3.5 star hotel may not fit our plan for a second honeymoon, but we were pleased to find it a friendly place. It did not have a restaurant but did have a small kiosk to buy supplies. It was... More

We have a good ability to adapt, especially in extreme conditions, such as the deser... but beetles into the bed, between sheets, are not acceptable, even more so in a residential area! Besides, the staff is rude and the reception is open till 20 p.m.: if you have some problem later, you must handle it on your own. Definitely, you... More

Thank you for your review which I was very surprised to read. It does concern me that you say the staff were rude as they have all worked with us for a very long time and are happy cheerful people who normally go out of their way to help people. We are 3.5 star and yes our reception does close... More
