We come to Alice almost every year and we always stay at Desert Palms Resort We are a group of 3 and the cosy rooms serve our need perfectly. We like to spend most of the day out and about, and Alice and its surroundings has so much on offer. Mt Gillen, The ranges and its gaps, mountain biking, hiking..you... More

We arrived here after a 4.5 hour drive from Uluru and after a quick sign in at Reception we were enjoying a dip in the island shaped pool which was cooling and relaxing, the cottage was was fine and clean with all the essentials to accommodate our stay, the staff were very hospitable and made us feel welcome, we will... I popped in here on a drive from Darwin to Melbourne at the beginning of the year. I had no booking as I was unsure where I would find myself at the end of each day but the staff were incredibly accommodating. Simon, the resort manager, was very helpful and made sure I was well looked after, "Cheers Simon". The... More

Nice cottages, location a little bit far away from the city centre (which is not so special), taxi is not very expensive though. Place is very well organized and maintained. Nice swimming pool near the entrance and possibility to purchase some snacks and drinks.

This is a motel located a bit outside Alice city centre, but you could walk there in about 15 minutes, taxis are not too expensive and they have a free taxi hotline. The place is nice and clean, the little cabins are small but fairly comfortable with great aircon and a small kitchenette. The pool area was really nice, and... More

We stayed here while visiting family over Christmas. Found the staff friendly and helpful, the room and surrounding were very neat and clean. Loved the pool. Kitchenette in the room for basic cooking, but who needs that when there's lots of restaurants nearby. Will be back, had a great stay.

We were aiming to stay with our daughter, but then her Air Conditioning packed up, so we moved to the Desert Palms. The beds are comfortable and the A/C works just fine, so the fact that the amenities are rather basic is not a great problem, indeed I would guess that most people who would stay here would have some... We stayed for 7 days, I did read a few unfavourable reports about the place but didn't think much of them. We were a family of four, there was a very small kitchenette with only two stools at the bar (4 in the family... indoor seating for 2?!?), there was a plastic outdoor setting on the verandah but with our... Thank you for your review and I have taking the issues you had on board and have had the leaking tap and lock checked out in the room. Since the family rooms are studio it can be crowded with a queen and 2 single beds but we do offer these rooms to help make family accommodation economical. Otherwise I would... More

We stayed over the xmas New Years period, two times on either side of our trip. The reception staff were excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants and other attractions we might have wanted to see. The pool was clean and refreshing on a super hot 40+ degree day. The only issue which arose was the fact the air conditioner... More

Hello, and thank you for staying with us and writing a review that you enjoyed your stay. Especially that you found the staff to be excellent. I will ensure this is past on to them. Yes the air conditioners do only work when the tag is in the wall so basically when guests are in the room. The reason being... More
