Pathdorf s is like no other, an Eco friendly sanctuary just outside of Alice Springs. The gardens are lovely and attract all sorts of beautiful birds and butterflies. It is probably best if you have a car for getting for getting around, although Uwe will do trips in and out of town for a small fee. He is also very... More

Agree with the "don't stay here" review below. A good b&b welcomes guests to their home, Ewe suffers guests in his property, it is not a home, and enforces strict rules which are about Ewe's comfort not the guests. In addition on arrival we received a 15 minute lecture on what is wrong with Australia and Australians and how all... More

How can I take this comment seriously if they can't even spell my name correctly!!! It's UWE but to understand cultures you need to understand languages first!! Unfortunately, many Australians are very racist and that hasn't changed much over the years. If somebody moves to Australia and does better than the locals they just don't want to hear/see that. And... More

This place is very over priced for what you get. The rooms have old, cheap furniture and linen. It is also very noisy and we struggled to sleep with people talking and noise from the bathrooms. Do not get the upstairs room with private balcony as he then serves all guests breakfasts on the balcony - no peace at all!... More

No idea what this concern is about. As a matter of course, facts speak louder than words. We just received the award "2014 Winner 'Certificate of Excellence' from Trip Advisor". It's the most beautiful place in the Centre but as we all know: even if you give 100%... some people do NOT appreciate that! All booking procedure was in a... More

I stayed at the Pathdorf for three nights with a friend. It was exactly what we wanted, someplace away from the town where we could enjoy the peaceful surroundings and indulge ourselves in birdwatching whenever we had the chance. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with cereals, yogurt, croissants, fruit breads and teas and coffee, I'm sure there was more but... More

Stayed for three nights. One with my daughter in the cottage and two in a single room. Beautiful surroundings, so peaceful. 5 minutes from the centre of Alice. Would be best if you have a car though. Too far to walk into town. Host was wonderful and so proud of his property. Continental breakfast with lots of goodies included in... More

Uwe is a charismatic host who takes pleasure in showing you around his beautiful gardens and space that he has created over the years. Pathdorf is tranquil and blissfully quiet and still close to town and airport. The rooms are kept very clean and the facilities provided are great. Uwe is generous with his time and will help you with... More

Lovely place with beautiful gardens in a quiet spot. The only sounds were those created by nature. The owner is really friendly and helpful. if you are looking for somewhere away from the main busy town, this is the perfect place for you. Some places in Alice Springs are purely for travellers passing through to Uluru. However this is a... More

This b&b is excellent value for money. Its absolutely stunning and UWE the host gives you a lot of advice on things to do anbd has some excellent knowledge on the local area and wildlife. Its out if the town centre but for a small cost UWE is happy to drop of and pick you up. This is also a... More

Best place to stay in alicespring ! It's a completely Eco friendly inn! Uwe, the owner, singlehandedly reconstructed the whole place into an Eco haven for the local birds and plants which we think is amazing! The rooms are spotless clean with nice comfy bed, towels and tea sets. Breakfast is very good too! Uwe even provided us lovely breakfast... More

Pleasant B & B well located if you have your own transport. Owner is keen on birds and you should get to watch him hand feed Splendid Wrens. Uwe offers good advice on local places to visit. Apparently he used to run his own tours.
