A great place to stay very friendly staff ( we are caravaners) I think 10 great shady sites power and water , very good amenities , a clean pool , quite well back from the hwy, Buffalo, Emus, and pigs out the back.... Good food, beer on tap, lots memorabilia of the Buffalo days when it was big business, ........ More

I drive through and stop at the Bark Hut frequently. The service has always been good, a little smile from us as paying patrons goes a long way to (some people have commented that the staff are not that friendly!). The place is manned by mostly backpackers but that brings a little charm to the place, ask them a question... More

Visited here today with the family. Loved the food and prices were reasonable. The outback atmosphere inside the pub was great. Need more pubs like this one. We all had burgers and they were tasty. My brother in law especially liked the buffalo burger. Great jobs guys!

I must admit reading previous reviews that I was worried about the food here. We were staying at the Bark Hut for two nights using it as a base to look around. I need not have worried. First night I had the special, 3 crumbed chicken drumsticks with potato bake and cauliflower with white sauce for $15. I wiped the... More

We didn't mean to stop here but were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, the quality of the food and the staff's generosity. We consider the Bark Hut a home away from home and have extended our stay!

Stayed here on route to Kakadu. For $200 a night you'd expect more. The rooms are drab and uncomfortable, the food is over priced and poor. Worse still is the attitude , honestly would a smile and "hello" really hurt. This place showcases the worst of Aussie hospitality

We travelled out for lunch for the day from Darwin with a group of friends. 10 of us ate and the food was absolutely terrible all round!! The chicken schnittys looked like steak they were so burnt. We would possibly call in for a beer or cold drink if going past again but the unfriendly staff and terrible food was... More

Staff are far from friendly, food is ordinary, everything is over priced (as you would expect being remote) , falsely advertise tickets to kakadu which they don't. Stop up the road at corroboree tavern, much much better.

A rough and ready bar plus last petrol stop before Kakadu. Trestle tables, long bar and basic food but its worth a stop. Staff seem a bit shell shocked, most probably from the night before but they give a smile.

An icon on the way to Kakadu about 80km past Humpty Doo. We have stopped here at various times, although new tourists and the buses stop here, the food and coffee is average at best. It is more expensive as it is the only roadhouse within this area. Still, a good toilet stop and a cold drink will do.
