Staff are far from friendly, food is ordinary, everything is over priced (as you would expect being remote) , falsely advertise tickets to kakadu which they don't. Stop up the road at corroboree tavern, much much better.

A rough and ready bar plus last petrol stop before Kakadu. Trestle tables, long bar and basic food but its worth a stop. Staff seem a bit shell shocked, most probably from the night before but they give a smile.

An icon on the way to Kakadu about 80km past Humpty Doo. We have stopped here at various times, although new tourists and the buses stop here, the food and coffee is average at best. It is more expensive as it is the only roadhouse within this area. Still, a good toilet stop and a cold drink will do.

Went to Bark hut for lunch, paid $12.50 for a very ordinary steak burger. The floors and toilets looked like they hadnt been cleaned in months. Its shame a territory icon like the bark hut is getting so run down. Obviously no money being spent on it.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to Kakadu. Big meals but relatively pricey. There was a bit of outback atmosphere which was fun. Basically there is nowhere else between Darwin & Kakadu so you take what you can get! We would stop there again.

Stopped for a coffee break on our way to Kakadu National Park, the place look old and run down and a small gift shop. In the back they had a few emus andtwo water buffalos called Jack & Jill, you could hand feed them if you like, do not now about the accommodation as I stayed in Darwin

We stopped here when it was very busy( bus tour) but that doesnt justify $5 for a lukewarm cup of weak chocolate when I really needed a coffee , having started early from darwin. We didnt stay here, so no comment on the accom but it didnt look great.

We had a good caravan spot in the corner of the park. With power, water, and amenities ok. Make sure that not too many cockatoos above in the trees, as you could get splattered. Beer garden good for a cold drink and feed in the afternoon, great park for overnight stop on the way to Kakadu.

Being a resident of Darwin and with some interstate family visiting, we were on our way to Cobourg Peninsula and I thought it would be good to stop overnight on the way to break up the trip. Rather than stop at the Aurora or at Jabiru I thought the Bark Hut Inn would be an interesting alternative with a bit... More

We stopped here over night and could not have picked a better place. The park gardens are pristine and beautiful, the staff super friendly, the pool was lovely and had magnificent views over the gardens and there were wallaby's everywhere. Toilets and showers were clean and showers hot. We had the mixed grill for dinner which was super tasty and... More
