Very happy with my stay at the astor inn.I was in town for 5days for my partners march off and it was only 10mins away from the raaf base and directly across the rd from the main strip, easy an convenient so I didn't get lost. It was really well priced for such a long stay and comfortable with a big... More

15 August 2014 saw our son march out of Kapooka. We stayed at the motel for three nights with three rooms booked. For those with loved ones marching out of Kapooka it is worthwhile considering this hotel. It's not advertised in the booklet provided to defence families, but there are only a number of streets in Wagga that recruits are... More

We stayed here for 1 night on a spontaneous trip to Wagga and chose this as a last-minute place to stay because it had late check-in. It turned out to be exceptionally convenient. The staff were friendly and suggested good places to get food as we came in late and un-fed. The room was sufficient for our stay and worked... More

This is my preferred place to spend a night during my country trips. Always friendly staff, clean rooms and great food. Room service is prompt! Restaurant on site makes for easy "one receipt" for work expenses. Great location. Parking on site can me tricky!

Unfortunately i decided to stay here for 1 night (1 long night) as there price was reasonable and it was an ideal location to catch up with my Son at Kapooka. Upon arrival i went to my room to find that it was so very very small. You've heard of the term "You couldn't swing a cat in here", well... More

Thankyou so much for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention. We immediately on receiving your review took the room out of service and bought in our pest management company along with builders to strip the room of fittings. We were unable to find any sign of bed bug infestation. We then took the liberty of contacting... More

This is not widely known until you get to Wagga but the recruits have a 'zone' that they are not allowed to travel outside of. If your hotel is outside of this then quite literally you have to spend your visitation on the street rather than relax in a hotel room. We were delighted with the accommodation, it is the... More

Stayed here to attend a loved one's march out ceremony . Staff and management are wonderful and very friendly, it is very affordable and with great facilities. The Astor Inn is within walking distance to the local town, close to all the food places and most importantly, was very close to where recruits are dropped off for town visits.

I stay at the Astor when in Wagga Wagga. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves good food and the bar is well stocked. The staff are always friendly. Be sure to book ahead as the Astor is very popular and always busy. They also have onsite and offsite parking and offer a buffet breakfast.

I think this establishment would be better termed a "hotel with motel accommodation". I stayed two nights last weekend while in town for a function. I had stayed at the Astor back in the 70's and vowed never to return due to a couple of reasons and the noise from the highway. The motel has been renovated since and as... More

I stayed at the Astor for 2 nights last week (for the Kapooka march out, which if mentioned gets you a 10% discount which is the cost of continental breakfast), I was a little surprised at how small the room was, but as I was travelling solo, it was ok- but for couples it would have been a squeeze, the...
