first of all - I was there only for dinner. Tremendous service, delicious food in historic neighborhood. Pretty crowded & noisy as it was a Thursday evening. Anyway service was good enough so that I didn't have to wait much longer.

It was a joy to stay at this place for 3 nights! It felt very old European -- up a narrow flight of winding steps to 2 hallways of bedrooms and common bathrooms. Very inviting and comfortable common room with couches, a breakfast table, and an espresso machine. Everything was very clean. The staff was young and always friendly. They... More

Had a couple of pizzas at The Australian. Whilst they weren't as good as Mad Pizza, they were quite good in any case. We had the Devil's and Tiger Prawn (salmon and prawns) pizzas which were very filling and good quality. The salmon was the pick of them. The pub itself has a good atmosphere and is worthwhile checking out.... More

I really liked this place. Great location in the Rocks which I loved walking around. We had food- decided to be typical tourists and try the kangaroo and crocodile pizzas. They were both nice but if I had to choose one it would have to be he kangaroo one. A good novelty! The menu was decent and reasonable prices. Good... More

Went there for a weekday lunch, was pretty quite but had an awesome half and half pizza, and wedges, with some great beer! It's a great place for tourists and locals! We could not decide on which of the great pizzas so got half and half and the wedges where some of the best I have had!

Love this hotel, good atmosphere, good pub fare, usual selection of Aussie beers, can sit in or out. Easy to get to from circular quay. A good pit stop if you going up to bridge pylon or bridge climb.

Stayed here for 2 nights in May and liked it. First pub I've stayed over where I didn't notice the noise, and my husband who loves craft beer said it was the best place we'd been after 3 weeks across Australia. We tried the coat of arms and crocodile pizza, by far the kangaroo is the best! I also had... More

I discovered this place online, and I knew that I wanted to try different meats while in Australia. The price of a large "Coat of Arms" pizza was $25 AUD. It was half kangaroo and half emu. It was very good. The definition of "large pizza" is relative, and this one was not enough food for two men.

My girlfriend and I researched this place before deciding to dine here before Sydney's Vivid light festival last Friday night (05/06/15). We order two different Pizzas split half/half on the plate and the Calamari starter. The two different Pizza toppings we ordered, the Pulled Southern Highland Lamb Shoulder & the Roast Pork Belly, complemented each other almost perfectly. Cooked and... More

Its a nice place on the rocks and they do kangaroo pizza wich is an easy way to try that meat for first time. Id love to come back some other time and try some other food because it looked good. Anyway i will remember this place because here i tried for first time my new favorite drink: Ginger Beer.
