Guests: 2 We stayed in Room 2 (opposite Manager) on the first level (upstairs). Our room had a window to the main road (Elizabeth Street), small kitchenette (with bar fridge, kettle, basic cutlery/plates), desktop computer (XP), double bed and only ONE bedside table. Ample power points to charge devices, but really needed that bedside table to place my items on,... More

Pros: great location across the road from Central Station, cheap and comfortable bed. Cons: be aware if visiting in winter it's cold and there's no heating, it's around 5 degrees outside right now and I'm sleeping in a tracksuit, I have room with a window facing the Main Street and its a bit noisy with traffic at night.

It's surprisingly quiet at night , even close to central station. Occasionally noise from the street is ok. The single room has some basic cutlery, bowl , a water boiler. There is a sink you can use to wash up. Due to no heating or central heating, I had used the extra blanket in the wardrobe. There is a small... More

Not enough amenities and facilities to call it a hotel. With no lifts, I had to climb the stairs up to the third floor and the stairways looked like an old and vintage emergency exit with no clear signs of which floor I was at. There were only two bathroom towels, no face towels given - and even worse adding... More

I arrived from Rome at 8pm. I caught the train to Central station. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from Central station. My room was on third floor - up a few stairs as there was no lift but for the price $69.00 Australian per night this was OK. The room was at end of wide hall. The... More

Honestly it's not special. Pay the extra $40 to stay at the great southern hotel. The rooms are hit and miss. No a/c. Pretty basic. The stairs to level 3 Are a workout every time. Shared facilities was not clearly advertised. If you are In a pinch it would be ok. But you can do so much better for just... More

I booked to stay here for one night, read the terms and conditions - saw that if the booking was cancelled before 2 days then a full refund would be given. What I didn't read clearly was that the deposit is one nights accommodation. I am unable to travel on the date I had originally booked and have now lost... More

Rooms at this establishment are reasonably priced and well equipped, with own shower, fridge and computer. Bed was clean and comfortable. It is placed in an ideal location within a few minutes' walk from Central railway station. Reception staff are friendly and cooperative, even offering to carry my suitcase up to my room on an upper floor which is accessible... More

Central Private Hotel is just a short few minutes walk from Central Railway Station. It may not look like much from the outside, but it is private, secure and the staff are helpful and well mannered. For me, just going to Sydney for a day or 2 to visit with friends it is just what you want. Close to the... More

I stayed at this hotel and booked with the hotel`s website and found it was well situated with a 3 minute walk to every 5 minute trains from Central Railway Station for close shopping and ferries at Circular Quay in Sydney and buses outside the hotel with a nice hotel and eatery on corner. The hotel has a tourism booking... More
