Hotel is right outside the parameters of SYD airport. Across the parking lot is a Krispy Kreme doughnut place. Rooms were ok and tidy as well as bathrooms. Downstairs laundry room was easy to use as was the internet access downstairs. Taxi to Darling Harbour wasn't too expensive but it's easier to have a rental car if you're staying at... more
This was the third hotel on our round the world trip, and was only a place to stay for the night before we flew out again. We didn't expect great things, and what we got was about what we expected. The hotel is pretty basic. The rooms have a double bed, with a single bed mounted above it. There is... more
While this hotel is cheaper than others around Sydney Airport, it had the feel of a prison cell. A double bed and bunk bed plus a small table with chair were the only furnishings of note, with the television being screwed to the wall overhead. The prison-like atmosphere was further 'enhanced' by a double storey bulk bed at right angles... more
Pretty basic but what you'd expect from Formule 1! Clean and close to airport with free shuttle - but call in advance (once in arrivals) as it's not a continuous service, but for notified arrivals as we found out after getting the airport terminal transfer bus and a long walk (it's near terminal 2, not the international terminal)! Arrived at... more
Obviously you would only stay here if you were waiting for a connecting flight but this "hotel" is rancid. We has a twin share room which was the size of a prison cell, the top bunk mattress didn't cover the length of the bed (about 2 foot short) and had small black curly hairs on the sheets (Wonder what they... more
Imagine a tiny jail cell. That's it. No tv, no clock, no room for luggage, no nothing but a tiny lumpy bed that listed to the left - a hard left. The bathroom consists of toilet, sink and a shower - with no deliniation. Just a curtain and a drain in the floor. The best part of the stay was... more
booked on their web site, for $99 per night. Heading overseas, and spent the night in Sydney in transit. I have previously stayed at the Ibis in Mascot, which is a little more expensive. As per other reviews, the rooms are tiny. There are no cups or coffee facilities in the room, and no telephone. You can't open the window.... more
Pros: Inexpensive, new, comfortable, euro-style hotel. Cons: Bare bones, no frills. No WiFi. No phone in room. No hair dryer. You can walk there from the DOMESTIC teminal in 10 mins, it is next to DHL. They also have a shuttle (at least during the day) to domestic and international terminals, $5. Parking out front of hotel. Rooms have TV... more
I have stayed at this hotel many, many times both alone and with my family. The location is first class, the staff are great, the basic facilities you get are all you need. There are restaurants in the local area who will deliver. The shuttle bus to both the domestic and international terminals goes every half hour in the mornings... more
