We had a medium bedroom with a double bed, bar fridge, freestanding clothes rack, towels and toiletries. It is a very central location and easy walking distance to the city. The kitchen is well equipped and basic breakfast staples were supplied.

Some friends and I stayed here recently, Great when you just need a bed, wouldn't recommend for long stays but when you just need a place to crash it's perfect! Room and shared facilities were clean and tidy, no complaints.

Small, plain room. No frills. Decent breakfast was in a small kitchen. kitchen was well equipped. Very convenient location, easy to get to Wynyard. Just stayed for one night, came straight from the airport.

the bar is an old sytle Aussie pub. the beer selection is wide and pretty cheap (especially by CBD standards). The food is simple - but tasty and reasonably priced. This is NOT an upmarket bistro-type place, but great for a beer with mates. I have NOT visited the hotel premises.

I have a family and this is no place for families. Couldn't open door due to it being previously kicked in.. Then we couldn't lock it properly cause of the same reason. Some random druggie burst into the room 30mins in to our stay. Kids went to the shared toilet and shower (unisex!!!) when two naked people came out of... More

Staff were lovely. Room was clean. Shared bathroom was clean. Water pressure great. The room was cold. But nothing an extra blanket couldn't fix. Loud early mornings, but it's in the heart of the city, so what do you expect. The shared kitchen, had everything you needed. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and breakfast consisted of toast with spreads and also... More

I needed a room in the city to sleep for about 5 hours before getting a 6am flight. Cost was the number one priority, as I would shower when I arrived in the other city. Nothing cheaper available - so it did the trick. If you want more than just a bed and you can't handle a shared bathroom, then... More

It's one of those alert places you see in hotel commercials about where not to stay. It shouldn't be called a hotel nor a motel, at best it's a very bad version of a hostal. Its on top of a loud bar that's open till 1am. The window in the room doesn't have a screen. Men and women share the... More

Good location for the harbour district and Wynyard Station; . Small but atmospheric bar. Very basic room with comfy bed and clean, good quality sheets. Neither TV nor bed side light worked. Luckily it was a cool night as the ceiling fan went off with the main light.Good shower in the "shared bathroom" but tiling badly in need of repair.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
