I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel when I arrived. I had been booked in as part of my East Coast tour so wasn't too sure what I would arrive to. The location was perfect, near the bus and train station and most of the city is walk-able from here. I arrived early morning and was allowed to check into... More

If you travelling around Sydney by walking and public transport, this hostel has the most strategic location because it's just walking distance to Central station for you to travel anyway in Sydney. There are convenience store, seven eleven and dominos pizza just walking distance from the hostel. I like the common area at ground floor where everyone sharing wifi, watching... More

By far the best hostel I stayed in in Sydney!!! Staff are friendly and helpful! Communal areas are small but socialable. Free toast and a variety of spreads, cereal, tea & coffee every morning. Rooms are large, each person has their own locker. Few showers and toilets hence the reason they can get grubby but they are cleaned daily. Free... More

This hostel is a good location for exploring downtown Sydney. It's only a few minutes walk from Central station. The staff are helpful about our inquiries. Breakfast is adequate and on time. Our room (ladies only) was clean and has huge windows. As for sleep quality, like all other hostels, it depends on how noisy/quiet your room mates are. The only negative... More

I stayed in many hostels around Australia , this hostel was my worse experience ever at all .The staff are extremely rude here , if you leave one unwashed spoon at kitchen you will obviously loose your key deposit straight away ( this hostel is watched 24/7 and they know every movements that you have in the hostel , has... Sorry you feel that way Andy, we have a group of 55 students currently here for 2 weeks and the lounge has been busy for certain periods of the day while they are here, the cameras are only in common areas and it makes other travelers feel safe - cameras are a must! there is no "scary atmosphere" there are... My friend and I (mature age) stayed here in September. Hostel Virgins - what a pleasant surprise. All common areas were well maintained, people friendly, staff fantastic. Our room was cosy, well and very clean. Whilst we felt all guests were social it was always peaceful and with a low hum of activity during the much needed sleeping hours. Thanks... More

Most staffs are friendly and helpful. Excellent location as just cross over the road to take bus to Darling Harbour or Circular Quay. Walkable distance from Sydney Central station. Kitchen was big and fully equipped with cooking utensils and clean all the time.

I was here back in 2010 and 3 times in 2011. I love the atmosphere in here and really friendly staff. Everything was clean and breakfast was a plus. Location is also very nice. There is nice rooftop, lot of restaurants nearby and trainstation was 2 blocks away.
