This hotel will just about meet your needs if you just require a bed for the night. It is a bed with clean sheets, a sink and an overhead light, and nothing else. Steel gates on the front door, stairs and reception give you the impression that the area is a bit dodgy and that in the past there has... More

very close to kings cross and the station. the price is cheap. no reception desk just a prison door with a counter on it. friendly reception but could do with more experience. no lifts. the room looked boring and basic, very noisy at night, no aircon. had to get remote from reception and return it. wifi was terrible and you... This is without a doubt the loudest hotel I have been to. You can Every Single Footstep from guest in the rooms above. This was very disappointing as it's difficult to rest and get a good night's sleep at this hotel. The corridors are no better either you can here people shouting and arguing all night people going up and... More

I regularly stay at the Highfield Hotel. It's a few doors down from Kings Cross Station and a short, enjoyable walk into the city (e.g., down the McHelone Stairs at the end of Victoria Street). Granted, the hotel is pretty basic with shared unisex bathrooms. But it is clean, comfortable and safe (i.e., with 2 x security gates to negotiate... More

We stayed here on 2 separate occasions. The first time we had bunkbeds when we booked a double room and the bed was broken. We had a sink which was good and a fridge too. The bathrooms are terrible. We had heavy bags and had to carry them up several flights of stairs. Second time we stayed we checked in... More

We paid 70 dollars for a "hotel". It's a hostel.. Shared bathroom, small rooms. After we had settled in our room for about an hour we were asked to move to a smaller one.. Don't stay here, a hostel would be better. And there are actually hotels for the same price

The two male owners seemed very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The rooms were basic but our double bed room was a double bed with an extra bunk on top, a sink, a TV, and a fridge. Not much room for anything else but if your looking for a place to crash plus the convenience of a sink this... More

Booked a family room which was advertised as having a double bed and two bunk beds, when we arrived we had one bunk bed and a mattress on the floor. The room smelt terribly, the toilets were filthy and the plumbing and electrical were dodgy. Walking through the hotel our feet stuck to the floor. The room was stinking hot... More

Stayed one week as didnt really had the choice.. For 80$ per night, it was over value! After a few days, other hotel residents told me they paid 60$... Shame! When i arrived, I was checked in to a vacant dirty room! There was cigarette butts and hair on the bed! Went down to reception and the reply was that... More
