We tried this place out for a week as it was cheaper than the bigger hostels. I personally didn't like it. I mean it was reasonably clean but had a strange atmosphere. There were lots of signs everywhere with lists of things you weren't allowed to do and it's just didn't have a good vibe! Kitchen was ok and there... More

The whole building needs a renovation. We had an OK double room with tv, sink, wardrobe, fan, but there are cockroaches around and one night when we were about to sleep a big cockroach was flying around the ceiling. During our stay it was also impossible to lock the door in the bathroom and one time the cleaning lady just... More

We stayed here for a week in a triple room. Our room was ok, had a tv, wardrobe, electric fan, a sink and a triple bunk bed. And was an alright size. The only problem with the room was the large gaps between the floor and skirting boards, and the open fireplace (which is no longer in use) these two... More

I thought about staying for a few weeks but moved out after five nights, even if I had payed for the whole week in advance. I whole place is dirty. The kitchen a whole mess. My room (6bed dorm) was probably never cleaned before. People were smoking almost everywhere in the hostel. After 6pm it was quiet hard to find... More

Checked in for 2 nights and stayed 6 months. This is more than a hostel, it is a family & if you want to be part of that you will be welcomed with open arms. Hostels generally aren't the cleanest of places but the kitchens and bathrooms and up to a good standard. The price is great, esp if paying... More

booked a individual room for privacy. very dirty and unclean. lots of people drinking and smoking in common areas, very loud and difficult to sleep.the building itself is rundown and degraded. location is a bit of a walk from the train station and a long way from the centre of the city. Price wasnt great, it would be worth paying... More

We ended up staying for 4 weeks in this hostel, disregarding some lacks of cleanliness we had a great time. Our receptionist Gabriel was really kind and competent. We would return here every time visit Sydney!!!!

We arrived to discover that they had messed up our booking, we booked a private double but were given a 6-bed dorm to ourselves. I realise mistakes can be made but the justification offered for this was that they though we were two males and not a male and female so they put us in a room with separate beds.... More

Tokyo Village is by far the friendliest hostel I have stayed in. The character of the place stands out and I have never felt more at home whilst travelling, It is a small hostel with the most friends. I initially checked in for 1 night but ended up staying over 8 months. The staff are welcoming and fun but remain... More

This hostel is one of the best i've ever stayed in. When you enter it may not look like a 5 star hotel or anything. But that's not a big deal because it's a backpackers. The reason why I love this Hostel (stayed there for 8 month) is the great atmosphere. You will know everybody after a couple days. People... More
