Normally these places are extremely basic. But I was pleasantly surprised that the room had a big screen tv, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a very comfortable large bed. It's convenient for transport hubs too, with Kings x station only 5 minutes away.

The hotel has a good price comparing to others in Sydney. It's quite simple but you get what you pay. The location is good because it's really close to kings cross station and there you can take trains to everywhere. But the staff could be more friendly, nobody told us anything about the breakfast, wifi or anything else. I think... More

We stayed here a couple nights. This is a perfectly okey budget hotel, with no extras. Simple rooms and a decent location close to Kings Cross (with bars and restaurants)and the subway. Friendly staff, but no wifi.

The hotel is situated in a good location close to shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel was under going refurbishment during our stay (13th - 17th December 2015) and we were never disturbed once by the ongoing works. The staff were great, approachable and helpful. We were a family of 4 staying in one of the rooms, we were giving... More

Budget hotel with no extras. Great location though right near a lot of restaurants and bars. We found the service to be quite friendly. Even so, no free wifi was a bit of a shock to the system, and a whole point off for the 2am wakeup call from a faulty fire alarm.

My family of 3 were staying here for a week and the breakfast was the most horrible thing I have ever seen. It was the same cereal and bread for the 7 days we were dining there. Even with closed eyes, we could say where the items were placed. The website says they had dairy and other local items on... More

Rooms are standard a bed and a space capsule bathroom but you get what you pay for. It's cheap and in a good location. Makes it good for a weekend out or quick stopover in the city. Across the road is an awesome little underground bar worth visiting

Cheap and good hotel to stay if you are looking for a place to stay only. Hotel comes with own toilet. Free parking available at the side. Great place to stay if you are jus looking for a bed to crash and private bathroom. Great spot. Right beside king cross MTR

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
