he 'hotel' is a converted hospital, and not very inviting. The management was very unhelpful and was not understanding of our late arrival due to unforseen circumstances. I would not recommend staying here, as it is also over price for other hotels, with closer proximity to the city. more

Management response from
marinerscourt, MANAGER

In responce to the negative comments placed by the "RIDICULOUS June 16th Guest we would point out the following. The Hotel prides its self on providing clean, quiet and secure accommodation in a well located area at an economical price. It has however a strict policy on Non smoking and arrival times at the Hotel after 6.30PM. This guest arrived...

To begin, Mariners Court is not one of those places you take public transportation to, get off and you're right in front of it. At the airport we got travel passes that included unlimited bus, ferry and rail. We went to Kings Cross station, exited on Victoria St and carried the bags down a couple of LONG flights of stairs.... more

We stayed in this hotel in April 2008. Our stay was for 3 nights. The hotel was great! After our long flight from Los Angeles and a long walk from the train station (we were told it was close to the main station in Sydney, turned out not to be, make sure you do your homework) we were given a... more

I'm just at the end of a one month stay at the Mariner's Court Hotel. The accomodation is located in the great area of Woolloomooloo, and it's an easy walk to the City through the Domain or Botanical Gardens. The rooms are nicely furnished with just the right balance of character and modern comfort. There's minimal street noise, which in... more

This hotel is excellent value. The rooms are small, comfortable and cleaned daily. The place is secure and has a great location near the harbour. A lovely walk to the Opera House and near to Potts Point and King's Cross and the CBD. A bus passes close by. Excellent breakfasts and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Excellent... more

Got off to an interesting start when I arrived with a bout of gastro - luckily there is a doctor right next door to this hotel! It was such comfort to be able to see someone straight away. The hotel itself has a fantastic, healthy free breakfast and the rooftop area is brilliant for catching some sun and having a... more

We stayed here for three nights towards the end of February. Our room was acceptable, with fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, air con & a fan. There was a tiny balcony but we couldn't open the door! The view was not exciting anyway, but it was peaceful - no traffic noise. The bathroom was pretty tired and in need... more

The main problem with this hotel is the atmosphere - it's a former nursing home that the current owner/s haven't spent a lot of money converting to a hotel. It's very "beige", with wide doors and corridors for wheelchairs and trolleys, and emergency buttons still in the rooms and showers. The pictures on the walls reminded me of a doctor's... more

Stayed for 4 nights at this small friendly hotel. We thought it was a good location and the walk through the botanical gardens to the city centre a bonus. The location was fine and close to the 'up and coming' Woolamaloo area. it was also close to Kings Cross area and we felt that was OK too. All in all... more

We stayed at the Mariners Court Hotel over new years eve and what a great location this hotel was in. it is about a 15 minute walk to the opera house through the Botanic gardens. the man at reception i believe his name was Robert, was an absolute gentleman who runs an excellent establishment. he was helpful on all aspects... more
