This is definitely a hostel not a hotel, though the majority of the rooms are single/twin. I stayed for a week in a 6 bed girls room, over New Years. The best thing about this place is the LOCATION. George Street runs all the way down to Central Quay and there is a free shuttle bus running along it, though... More

"The George" was the last place we stayed at our our trip to Australia. It advertises as a "hotel" but it's definitely a hostel. I think the best way to describe it is as an incredibly well run business. There is FREE internet which works fast and well. The room was comfortable and had a window. The kitchen area was... More

This is an excellent option for budget accommodation in a hostel type establishment in a top class location, very close to central station and quick bus journey to circular quay. Stayed in twin bedroom which was very small but did the trick. If all you want is a clean bed in a clean room then this is grand. Shared bathroom... More

A friend of mine had recommended staying here as she had pleasant things to say about it. I was travelling alone, and spending a few days in sydney. I wanted to be central, safe, and close to everything! I had a single private room with TV. It is small, but clean, neat and you get a fresh towel daily. I... More

First of all, this is a hostel. It is very basic but relatively clean. Room service includes emptying your rubbish bin and replacing your used towel, but bed is not made and carpet not vacuumed. I stayed here for a couple of days. The room smell strongly of cleaning detergent. The shower/wc on the third floor are nicer than those... More

I stayed there in december 2007. I had a single room with shared bathroom. The room was small, but it was clean and quiet. The toilet and bathroom were down the corridor, but I didn't find it a problem, it was always free when I wanted to use it and it was clean. The location is good, very close to... More

For the money and location, this little hotel was terrific. It was clean, quiet, had friendly front-desk people, and extremely reasonably priced for being in such a convenient location. My boyfriend and I were originally booked at a different hotel (which turned out to be above a casino/bar that played VERY loud techno music until 3AM - The Wynyard -... More

It seemed to be the best we could get for the price. We stayed a week and paid 69 AUS a night, they have length of stay discounts. My girlfriend wanted to have a bathroom in our room so we went with the ensuite. We're from the US and we really haven't ever dealt with the hostel system. I thought... More
