Me and my girlfriend stayed here for three nights. The hostel can seem quite old and lots of things are worn-out but for me, I just want a clean room, a made bed and a clean and working kitchen. Now the kitchen is quite big and there are almost always enough room for you to cook. During the usual dinner... More

This hostel is really well run, the staff are excellent. They have very good policies put in place for the guests to ensure that everyone has a good time and there is something to do every night you stay there.

Maze backpackers has some great perks as a hostel. They have a spacious and clean kitchen. The team at the front desk were happy to answer any of my questions and were friendly and welcoming. They had a pamphlet full of activities each day that they host which is great for any solo travelers looking to meet new people or... More

I needed a place to stay for 7 nights and did not want to spend over 300 bux simply for a bed. Well, a bed is what I got. I also gained extra lovely treats along the way such as mosquito bites, illness from the damp, sleep deprivation, irritation, depression and suicidal tendencies. It's safe to say, I did not... More

We stayed there for 4 nights in a private twin toom, the room we were given initially was not only smelly but the air was awful and difficult to breathe, the cleaners had also obviously used a power of freshener to try and compensate for this which made it worse. After a few hours of trying to preserve with the... More

Paid Wi-Fi, extremely small and stinky rooms. But holy Marie - it is just 50 bucks for a private room. And so much fun here in dorms! And they ve got some free food, movie nights, billiard - all that stuff. Ah... I miss that times when I was here. Night shift personal is disappointing.

Only stayed here one night in Melbourne, but provided a good place to sleep and shower (most comfortable mattress I've had in Australia hostels so far + big bathrooms with plenty of room in each shower stall). Very friendly and helpful reception staff, but no free WiFi. When the $4 WiFi (for 24 hours) cut out when I was using... More

Maze was the first hostel that I checked into in Sydney, my intentions were only to stay for 5 nights and 6 months later I was still there becoming part of the furniture! As soon as I went to reception to check in I was welcomed by amazing staff, they were very helpful and they all have a great sense... More
