+ Some of the cheapest locations in the center of the expensive city of Sydney. Big kitchen for cooking meals and once per week BBQ for free. "Lawrence of Tasmania" was really the most lovely guy of the whole stuff and the 'good soul' of the hostel. -The rooms are rudimentary equipped with just a bed and bright neonlight -... More

The feeling is amazing. Everyone's kind you get to know lot of people and the price-quality relation is very good and it's clean. If you are lucky you get a twin room for less than usual. The best are the activities they organize. My friend had been at other hostels in Sydney and he says this one is the best.

I stayed there for some weeks. The reception guys are really nice. But the manager is unfriendly and it ignores you, if you got a problem. The cleaners threw our stuff like: lonely planets, sun glasses, sun creams, socks, knives etc. out. For no reason! I asked them how that could happen and they just answered that we are responsible... The location is awesome if you are wanting to be in the city. I had a 6 bed room and it was really small. It had no plug for me to charge my phone. The only plug was on the other side of the room next to someone else's bed!! The kitchen is really clean. They do quiet a lot... More

Stayed here for 5 night in a private 3 bed dorm, the room was ok, a bit on the small side and other than the bed and an electric fan there was nothing else in there, that said it was a good enough room to rest your head at night, was as clean as you'd expect in a hostel and... More

Booked a room with 3 beds for a group of us. The room was tiny hardly any space for us to move around. The room was hot and only had 1 small fan on the wall. If you had the window open and it rained it was very loud as there was a damaged pipe that made rain sound like... More

I took photos of the disgusting noisy air vent that was covered in grease outside my window. The stench in my room from it was intolerable. Then when I found cockroaches as well, I called and made a formal complaint to the NSW health department.

I wasn't sure what to expect from maze when I arrived but I was not disappointed with what they have for offer. there's something going on every night which just brings everyone together, all the staff are very helpful and nice and to top it all off you get free food and alcohol!

Basically the title sums it up. If it didn't have a great location the place would be out of business. Terrible service from rude staff that obviously don't care, dirty and mouldy rooms and bathrooms, obviously run by people who just want to make money and nothing more. I would never stay here again. I've stayed in backpackers all over... More

Shared a twin room with my friend, tiny room but clean comfortable & probably the cheapest in Sydney! Basic bathrooms, big kitchen although it does get very busy. Lively hostel but with a great atmosphere, staff are friendly, definitely can't complain. Great location & transfer services to the airport.
