My girlfriends and I recently decided to escape realitly to pamper ourselves. By mistake i stumbled across the Sebel website. Villa Thalgo (day spa) caught my attention straight away. Two full days of induldence topped off by evening drinks in the sports bar and a cozy fire side dinner in the a la carte restaurant. We found the service to... more

Couldn't have felt more ripped off staying at this motel prending to be a spa & resort - after booking for my husbands birthday for their 'xmas in july' with the 'functions manager' who didn't manage to book us correctly leaving us to turn up and be asked to 'wait in the bar' - with our 2yo while they sorted... more

We visited the Sebel for an impromptu relaxing weekend away and will definitely not be going back. Their website uses words like "Beautifully appointed, stylish, romantic" and promises a 4.5 STAR luxury experience. Roadside motel more like. The room itself was OK, but nothing more than that and definitely not worth the rack rate. The painted brickwork gives it a... more

For a weekend get-away from the Sydney CBD with friends the location and facilities of this hotel couldn't have ticked any more of the boxes. The spa (Villa Thalgo) however is the only positive thing about the resort. At the spa, not only are the facilities and treatments great (I can say that with confidence as my wife sampled pretty... more

Stayed here for one night in March 09 after a day in the blue mountains and before heading off for wine-tasting in the Hunter Valley. Paid around £45, which seemed remarkably good value. Very peaceful, tastefully decorated, boutique-style room within a fairly large hotel - although it didn't feel like a chain, it actually is. We then spotted Sebels in... more

The room was full of flies. Maybe because it was close to the garbage area at the back of the hotel and a spider was living in the bathroom,. Room service food arrived cold with no explanation, but after waiting an hour we were too hungry to send it back. The buffet breakfast was average at best and the staff... more

Such a disappointment! We attended the Sebel for a wedding. The venue itself looks very nice - well maintained gardens, swimming area etc. The meal at the reception was quite nice - although the chicken in the main course was very undercooked. The reception room was set up very well. Apparently the chapel costs quite a bit to hire out,... more

We booked a Courtyard Getaway Package via the hotel website which cost $290 per night, this included a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The hotel is set in very nice surrounds, and as previous people have mentioned it caters for weddings, there was one on when we arrived, but we hardly noticed them at all during our stay. The room... more

Stayed there for NYE 2007. Booked a package through wotif for a total of $293. This gave us accomodation for one night (NYE) an evening meal and a buffet breakfast. There was a little confusion on check-in about what time our dinner was booked for. It all got sorted out in the end but if you're on this deal you... more
