What an amazing hostel, the staff is very nice, the location is perfect, a Coles is near to the hostel, the train station too, the accommodation are clean, it was a perfect place to stay in Sydney. We are going to do a little road with with the van and we come back again for 2 days before leaving Australia... More

First of location it's in the red light district so it's not particularly safe, secondly with the size of the hostel the kitchen and t.v room are no way big enough especially the kitchen you could be waiting a good hour just to get to the oven... Not enough toilet/showers neither will always be stood outside waiting no matter what... More

A hostel that has changed its look since 2014... But thankfully not It's style. A nice, sociable hostel mixed in with the even more sociable kings cross, this hostel mirrors the immediate area's vibrancy, spontaneous outbursts and tastes. The staff do their best to guide u through the area's best features and how to make the most out of it... More

This hostel is situated in the heart of the red light district, some distance from the city. On arrival, we were told someone had booked into our reservation, and our beds were no longer available (in fairness, the staff were friendly and helpful). After a quick look around, it is instantly obvious that it is nothing like the provided photos,... More

Staff were friendly especially the guy with the dreads (sorry don't know your name!) Loads of activities going on and right next to the station which was perfect. 2 stopa away from bondi beach :) Loads of on the go food places around and coles supermarket to grab picnic stuff etc. The rooms were ok..not the cleanest but not horrific.... Right next to Kings Cross station with easy access to CBD and Bondi. However, staff were not very helpful and the atmosphere was orientated solely around drinking. Breakfast and wi-fi also a let down. If you are in Sydney just to party then come here, if not then I suggest looking in another area.

I stayed in the 10 person mix dorm so you can imagine it was busy with people moving in and out of the room often. All the lockers in the room were full so I had to keep my backpacks on my bed and worried about its security, but luckily left with nothing stolen. Breakfast is plain and quite boring:... More

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighborhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
