One of the pricier hostels in Sydney but definately worth it. Very clean, friendly, well designed and well run. The rooms are large and kept clean. My experience at Wake Up Sydney was absolutely fabulous! The facility itself was extremely clean, including the lobby, my room, and the bathroom. We stayed for a week at Wake Up!, and it was a great base to have in Sydney. The location is good - right next to the central train station and walkable distance to the harbour. When you land in Sydney you can find easily a Shuttle Bus which will bring you exactly on front of Wake Up!. It takes about 25 minutes (if I have a good memory...) and it's really cheap. I know that Wake Up is an award winning hostel. Probably due to this, it is overrated and overpriced because there are some shortcomings. The ktichen was locked nightly at 10 pm, so you can't access your food or drinks. And it was much louder than I expected, because it actually is a "party hostel" despite the high price. Yes... more
