My friends and I stayed in here for 10 days and we felt really confortable, the manager is a nice guy who helped us from the begining of our stay to make us feel like at home, if you are looking a nice place, easygoing people and close to everything, is the right place to stay

I checked in for about three days and the rooms were lovely. Well equipped with a TV a fridge and a dresser. It was kept well and the manager was a kind man. It was very private and close to alot of good sites and shops. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Had a misfortunate situation which led me to this wonderful location. Never stayed at a hostel prior and believe me, I was weary. Ironically the stay lasted close to a month and never had an issue. The owner is/was always helpful and friendly. Willing to give a helping hand when required and give advice about pretty much anything. Rooms were... More

Type of place where you can chill out and take it easy. Not the type of place if you're looking for the wild backpackers experience! Manager is easy going. More like a bed and breakfast - without the breakfast. Probably the cleanest backpackers I have stayed at.

The owner (Dan?) is a creep and the place is so dirty and disgusting. He is so rude and the rooms are very dark and the sheets were dirty. The kitchen smells and there wasn't enough cutlery to make food. Don't stay here, it's the worst hostel I ever been to.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while traveling the east coast and is honestly the worst place we stayed during our trip. The hostel itself is very bizarre. There is no reception. You literally have to hang around the common area and wait for the manager to show up to check in or check out! We waited for 40 minutes... More

Amazing location within the CBD yet on the quiet side away from the bustle and traffic for a restful sleep. Easy access (~1.5-2km walk) to the quay, botanical gardens and opera house. Excellent value for money and slept comfortably in the private 2-person double bed with private bathroom. Very friendly manager

I stayed three nights in Hyde Park Backpackers. Great location, the manager was great. The price is good. Found the rooms clean, its close to public transport. they have laundry facilities zhich is helpful. There was even some good entertainment in the hostel during the evenings but had no trouble getting to sleep.
