The only nice thing i can say about this place is that its a stones throw from Bondi beach. Apart from that its filthy, overpriced, the most uncomfortable room ive ever stayed in and on a run down street. Put simply avoid at all costs!! more

Great location but the place was filthy and we checked out a day early because it was so dirty and full of cockroaches. Definately not the place to go - there are much better hostels for similar prices. more

We travelled around Australia for 3 months and stayed here at the beginning of our trip and found it acceptable accommodation, however when we returned at the end of our trip this was not the case. Building work was going on and we were not warned about this. The kitchen was so small and the applicances in it were extremely... more

[Me: 24-yr old bloke] Bunking with three strangers was my choice, and although a solo room is available for a good price, the share option is very cheap indeed. Getting stuck with a snorer proved an annoyance in the way of sleeping, as well as the random late hours that peple arrived back at the room, turning the light on... more

This is by far the best place I have stayed in on Bondi beach. Some of the other hostels are very dirty and smelly sharing dorms with lots of people and not looked after or maintained properly. This place is a little quiet and there are no common areas to hang out in which can be quite boring but it... more

Lousy place in a good location. Cramped passageways, rude staff, paper-thin walls, tiny rooms, inadequate bathrooms, poor lighting, not well cleaned or maintained. Avoid. more

My two teenage children and I just spent a week at Lamrock Lodge, Bondi Beach. The location was perfect - just 100 metres from the beach and in a beautiful quiet street. I was so impressed by the cleaniness of this hostel - every morning the owners swept, scrubbed and cleaned the whole place thoroughly. I loved the front outdoor... more

A nice place to stay at a very good price. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. It has all the amenities you could require and it is very clean. more

This hostel was in a great location on a side street leading down to Bondi Beach and all the action. Unfortunately though the hostel wasn't very nice. This was the first hostel that we stayed in and I expected all hostels to be the same so we grinned and beared it. It wasn't until we stayed at other hostels during... more
