The hotel rooms are small, but have everything you need, I went sightseeing and spent little time in the room. It was spotless, they cleaned it everyday. The staff were wonderful and so helpful all the time. It is in the most fabulous position for Darling Harbour, Shopping, Victoria Centre, Sydney Opera House, and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Lots of restaurants... More

A small but decent room with all you need for a couple of nights in Central Sydney. Close to Darling Harbour and Pitt St Mall. The bed was comfy and the A/C worked really well. As usual you pay for what you get so don't expect Hyatt facilities for less than $100 per night.

We booked the Breakfree on Clarence because it seemed to be fairly central and the price was one of the more reasonable for Sydney for 3 people (still expensive). I booked a family suite and was happy to have quite a bit of room. It was actually two rooms, one room had a king sized bed with a TV and... More

The BreakFree on Clarence is a mid-range no-frills hotel in the middle of Sydney CBD (Central Business District). The location is unbeatable. 3 minute walk to George Street and the QVB (Queen Victoria Building), 5 minute walk to Pitt Street and the Pitt Street Mall, 10 minute walk to the Harbour (Circular Quay). Plenty of shops, cafés, restaurants and entertainment... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in a Family room, which has one King and one single. The purpose of our stay was for business and we were on budget. The location is very convenient and central, which is definitely the highlight of our stay. Reception staff were welcoming. They managed to let us check in the room early and helped... More

Customer Service was welcoming and very helpful. Rooms are a bit of a squeeze but great size bathroom. Nice and clean. Location is great. About a 2 minute walk to QVB and 5 minutes into Pitt street. They also have a deal with Wilson parking on Kent street which makes a great deal all round.

We were going on Christmas cruise and flying in from Perth the night before so we didn't want to chance flight issues. We booked a family suite for hubby, myself, "adult" daughter & son. We figured it was for only 1 night and only needed a place to sleep. As it turns out a Family suite has a main room... More

We stayed here for two nights in a family suite my partner and I and my mother. This was over the 30th and 3st December. We picked this location so that we could avoid the long waits for public transport after the NYE fireworks. The rooms and bathroom were small with my partner and I in one room and my... More

I stayed with friends on a Thursday night. The room was very clean, staff helpful and we had no problems with booking. We had a queen bed with two singles. The reception staff were very helpful, especially on check out as I needed to leave my bag there for a while. I would stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my 2 sisters. We found the staff so helpful in giving us advice on attractions and how to get there. The room was very clean and comfortable although we didn't get clean towels etc it didn't matter as we were only there for 2 nights. Just a note the hotel is closer to the... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
