We stayed at Forsyths as a couple from the uk, for a 3 day trip to Sydney, whilst visiting friends in the Gold Coast. We knew that from the reviews that the B & B would be great but it exceeded even our own expectaions. We stayed for first 2 nights in the Rozelle room & the Blackwattle room for our... More

I travelled here alone on business. What a treat to have been able to walk out the front door, down the quaint street, to enjoy a harbour-front stroll! I visited in February -- when temperatures at home were -20C -- so a walk in the sunshine where neighbourhood residents were walking their dogs, jogging, enjoying conversations with coffee outdoors was... Thank you for your review. The Blackwattle Cafe is located in a heritage building in Blackwattle Park, it is in a unique position with lovely views over the water and serves great coffee, and only a 5 minute walk away! The toiletries at Forsyth BnB are hand-chosen - the ones you enjoyed were made by Trilogy. The Blackwattle room does... More

Ended our 3 week Oz tour in Sydney and had the wonderful pleasure of Gary and Julie at Forsyth B&B looking after our every need! Great minds of information for what to see and where to visit, tips on best use of travel arrangements for the city. Drop off to the airports were also a great help. Gorgeously clean and... More

We were in Sydney at the start of our long vacation in Australia and New Zealand. What an excellent beginning that was to our trip!! Gary and Julie were the perfect hosts. They went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable, and they succeeded. We were picked up and dropped off at the airport (way out of their way).... More

B&Bs can please us in a hundred different ways, but invariably, standing on a porch awaiting the doorbell's answer, we find ourselves hoping for the big winner -- a gracious greeting, knowledgeable host -- perhaps even a measure of concern over our arduous travels and upcoming plans -- and a knock-out decor with dazzling common spaces and a luxurious bedroom... We chose this B&B for its breakfast, which looked delicious already on their website. Now we recommend it for its breakfast and for everything else - Gary and Julie made us feel at home in this beautiful city. To avoid boredom after his retirement Gary has turned their cosy small house into a homestay. The two double bedrooms on the... More

My husband James and I stayed at the Forsyth in December 2013. Firstly, Gary and Julie were the nicest hosts one could wish for, extremely kind and helpful. As others have mentioned,Gary's breakfasts (the pancakes with fresh fruit in particular), were a great way to start the day and the coffee was not bad either! Our room had a balcony... More

We stayed at Forsyth for four nights and the whole experience surpassed our expectations. The house itself boasts character and charm and the room, facilities and breakfast were simply first class. Both Gary and Julie were great hosts and readily provided valuable assistance in recommending travel and dining options. Great location with an array of restaurants in walking distance and... More

Stayed with Gary and Julie for 5 nights on our recent trip to Australia and can only echo the previous positive comments made by other reviewers. Gary and Julie set out to ensure that their guests make the most of their time in Sydney and really want them to enjoy their stay in the city. On (and actually in some... More
