I would not go back because of the rude night manager who unfortunately works every night. The way he speaks to the guests is unacceptable and not what you would expect from a backpackers manager! The hostel is ok with a great courtyard area. I met some great people there. The location is very good.

Lived here for 4 months. Love the place, great atmosphere, the outdoor seating is perfect for socialising, yes mark the night manager is a nightmare but he almost adds to the charm of the place. The bbq on fridays is sensational, ping pong table and helpful staff. Great peaceful location only 5 minutes from the city with a park just... More

I've stayed here three times- the final time was ok, had an inside room but the people upstairs were really noisy - not because they were doing anything exciting, their floor was wooden and not insulated so simply walking about was really loud. The other two times we had the same room, whilst large and had what we needed, the... More

Lovely hostel that doesnt feel like a soul-less dorm filled concrete block. A nice house with good sized rooms. I stayed here a couple of times and always booked a private room - loved it. The kitchen is decent and there seemed to be lots of people staying here long term which gave it a nice community/family feel. Lovely location... More

Positive: the grounds are nice, there are nice and interesting people staying there to talk to. There are kitchen facilities if you don't want to eat out every day. Also, lost property was given to the current guests and I picked up some useful items. Sometimes there are odd jobs advertised when locals ring the hostel looking for short notice... More

I really do hate writing negative about places and always try to see positives but i struggle to see any, apart from the fact the street down the road gave us a place to park meaning we didn't have to pay extortionate Sydney parking prices and the wifi was cheap. Luckily there was a tram station close by which went... More

Good breaki in the morning and barbecue and creps the week-end. I even got some casual job from the reception! The staff really friendly (except Mark after 10:00pm ;)) Still had good time with... Ever fancy being yelled at by a rude, power-mad kiwi? Love having no freedom in your hostel? Enjoy being picked on? Then Glebe Village is the place for you! The kitchen is too small for the amount of people. And things get stolen. The only saving grace is that it still draws cool travellers to drink with (but only til... More
