Many 'budget rooms' are directly over the trainline, the 'quieter rooms' otha end are slightly betta altho walls stil vibrate wen trains pass, this happens24hours a day. Shower screen wodnt close, handle broken off window, fridge broken, cracks&damp on walls. Staff seemd ok as a whole altho generally un-interestd wit wat u were tryin to say. I booked this hotel on booking.com. Becareful when booking, they charge much more for a single room that advertised. Once booked, they will not refund the charges when canceled. It was really upsetting. Told the manager about it, but she did not care. The travelodge, down 1/2 block is a much better deal. Yhotel's night conciere was to lazy to... More

me and my boyfriend saved up for our anniversary and spent all our money on this hotel and it was very poor. The bedroom was very small for the amount of money we paid for it, we couldnt get the shower door closed, the shower was cold water. It says complementary wifi and breakfast when we booked and we got... More

My first impression of Y Hotel was that it looked dodgy. The area seemed to deteriorate as I walked to the hotel from Central Station, and as I turned the corner I was greeted by a dim building covered in dirty air-conditioners. That the front door is locked in the middle of the day I took to be a bad... More

Not being from Sydney my son and I required overnight accommodation so as to catch an early morning international flight. Well you certainly get what you pay for, a very small room and an even smaller bathroom, though both were adequate for our needs. Unfortunately our room was right beside the railway lines - so beware when booking and request... More

Service was good but the noise was awful. I barely slept all night, a bit of double glazing wouldn't go astray. More

After review of tripadvisor, I asked to have a room away from the railway. It's face to the road but not really noisy. The location is not good. About 15mins walk to the central station. 20 mins walk to the central bus station(access to all buses and free shuttle bus). 25 mins walk to haymarket (city&chinatown). It's not really safe... More

Our room was very small and the bathroom was the smallest that we have seen during our half year of travelling. Also the bed was shorter then normally – it was too short for a comfortable sleep for people over 170cm. Apart of this we liked the place. It was clean and in a good location: away from the hustle... I rented this apartment with two friends for a short trip to Sydney. The apartment is large and reasonably clean with comfy beds. However it feels like it is converted staff accommodation as it is filled with excessive numbers of cupboards and shelves as if it used to be an office. For the amount charged it really should be upgraded... More

Hotel is basic but good for travellers on a budget. Hotel not in the best area but easy to travel to minutes from redden station. Room was small but clean bed comfortable. Would stay again of travelling on a budget. Free breakfast a bonus. More
