Booked one night here in a Classic (standard) room from wotif.com with the Accor Super Sale or something along those lines. After reading some of the reviews on this website I was a bit nervous, especially since I'd paid a cheap rate. I walked into the hotel a little after 2pm and checked in straight away, no problems and went... more

I bid for two rooms on a well known "bid for rooms' website. Landed two rooms at about 10% off the best rate otherwise available on the web. After the booking was made I contacted the hotel directly and requested one of the rooms to be twin room. Also requested an early checkin. Upon arrival at 9:30 in the morning,... more

I stayed in the Sydney Sofitel for 3 nights. I came from the airport at around 10am and left my bags, pre-registered and had to wait for my room to be ready. Upon returning at 3:30pm they had no records of me even pre registering and required my credit card again. This was rather embarrassing as i "pushed' in front... more

We arranged a 4 night stay in this hotel as a second honeymoon for my partner and I. From the word go it was a disaster. We probably should have realised this when a week before our trip we had a call from an Indian woman on behalf of Sofitel trying to hardsell a room upgrade. I have never felt... more

Like any five star hotel you come to expect certain things. I got a really good last minute rate so the value for money was really good. Clean, well appointed room and all the facilities you could possibly need. The location is great for anyone doing work in the business district. Generally the service was good, however I did complain... more

Booked a one night stay at the hotel. Couldn't fault a thing. Excellent service, sercure lifts and rooms, also liked the fact, room could be made pitch black and really quite. (No noise from other bathrooms or corridor). Beautiful buffet breakfast. Bathroom a little small but didn't worry me, and no veiw from room also didn't bother me. Good Location. more

I stayed here for 2 nights with work colleagues and found the hotel to be everything one would expect of a "luxury" hotel. My room was clean and well appointed and the king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent. Close to most things in the middle to northern end of the CBD. In fact, we had dinner... more

We spent a night at the Sofitel with our 8 month old bubby. We booked a room at the Club Sofitel, and the service was great. We especially enjoyed the club lounge, with beautifully designed relaxation room. There was even a Nintendo Wii for the guests to use! Our room was clean and furnishings were of a high quality. Restaurant... more

As a accor card holder, and the fact we paid extra for an upgrade for a "garden view" we were expecting something quite nice. The reception had a lovely array of oriental flowers so it bode well. On arrival, into our room on the 12th floor, it absolutely stank of cigarette smoke, only to discover despite the fact we requested... more

I was really tempted to give this place 5 stars, but it came short on one point only. The hotel is wonderful, we really enjoyed our stay. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms were great and the beds … it was like sleeping on a cloud!! We only stayed for one night, but I’ve previously eaten at... more
