We stayed in the deluxe room which was modern and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was good. The hotel is a easy walk from central station and the staff were great. Will stay here again.

The Rydges Sydney Central is conveniently located very close to the Central train station, Chinatown, Thai Town, the Business area, etc. It's very easy to walk everywhere from there. The Sydney Opera House is just about 15-20 minute walk. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Wifi is complimentary in the rooms and in all areas. Room was clean and... More

Stayed here for two nights on business and had a hire car. The room was a good size, with quite a nice bathroom. It was very clean, but I think the carpets were shampooed a lot as the room felt a little damp/humid when I entered on both days. Still, it was a comfy place to sleep. Parking was expensive... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a mystery flight package for my partners 30th birthday. I was very disappointed to see that the 4-5 star room that was promised as part of the package was not even close. The carpets were not vacuumed. The fridge/desk cupboard was worn and filthy, as was the coffee table.... More

Great location, nice staff, fabulous restaurants nearby but the location comes with issues! Traffic, trains and people celebrating the state of origin. Make sure you stay away from room 228. Doors opening and closing all night, I think the staff were setting up for a function.

I am sitting on the bed writing this review, about to go to dinner listening to the trains, cars, trucks, people on the street etc, etc, in the morning after the curfew is over the planes as well. The staff, comfort, service is wonderful but the outside noise ALL NIGHT is just horrendous, I may as we'll be sleeping in... More

Thank you for your review – Sorry to hear you were affected by some noises during your stay. If the noise outside gets too much requests can be made for a room move to a higher floor or to the back of the building. Kind Regards, Jenny More

As a regular visitor to this hotel I am disappointed since it changed from Sebel to Rydges. It is still early days, but it is not up to the usual Rydges high standard - World Square, Airport. I think standards have actually slipped since changing brands. While the staff are lovely, they aren't particularly knowledgeable. e.g. inquired about what time... More

A good pillow in a hotel is hard to find... I have stayed here many times as The Sebel and have to say a reasonable hotel is now an excellent Rydges hotel. Full marks for free Wifi and the new blinds are a great improvement. Best of all they now also have the best pillows I've ever had in a... More

Booked a night on last minute and got a great deal. Was greeted by friendly staff, and the room was just fine for the three of us. The kids had a ball in the indoor pool/spa and we even used the well equipped gym. It's well positioned and is good value, I'd stay again.

I booked this hotel at the last minute for a quick mid-week stay commuting through Sydney. I was disappointed that despite calling the hotel at 8:30pm for an 11:30pm check-in and an early check out the next morning that they could not offer me any deal better than the $169 I paid. After checking in and reading the tips about... More
