Got our rooms on a very good deal, a lot cheaper than hotel's full price and we wouldn't have wanted to pay any more than we did. Rooms are average, little bit worn around the edges considering it has just re-branded. Brekkie was fine, pool, spa and gym were very good. Hotel staff for the most part were very helpful... More

Awesome location. Walk from central train station which helped get to and from the airport very quickly. Walk away from main street of Surrey Hills where restaurants and shops were. Great conference facilities- great morning and afternoon teas there! Room was right outside the gym and could hear the opening and slamming of the door till 10pm at night. So... More

I have stayed at the Rydges a few times (when it was previously The Sebel) as the rooms are always very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is great. 2 mins from Central station and about 10 minutes to the markets/Chinatown and a small convenience store a couple of doors down. The new express check in... More

Very handy location, for all CBD events. 2 mins walk to Central station, 15 min walk to Queen Victoria Building. Underground secure parking. Check in seamless & pleasant. Stayed in a family room, which is just a room with king bed & fold out sofa. But perfectly adequate as only was in the room for sleeping. Hotel has a well... More

Stayed 5 days for a training, which was also in the same hotel. Breakfast was good - I made use of an offer - prepaid vouchers cost me only $22 instead of the regular price $31. Wifi was part of the room rate and no extra cost, connection was also good. Room was cleaned everyday and the reception staff were... More

I organised for me and my 2 friends to stay here and was really looking forward to our weekend. I rang early on check in day to advise we are 3 friends staying and therefore could the bedding configuration be for 3 beds. The lady whom I spoke to said that our room had already been made up with a... More

Great location around the corner from Central Station. Staff were very helpful and noting was a hassle for them. Room was nicely appointed with modern fixtures. The blockout blinds work really well to allow for a lovely sleep-in in the beautiful comfy dream bed. The indoor pool and spa was fantastic. Booking process online was easy and the online checkin... When I arrived at the hotel It had just changed from the Sebel to Rydges that weekend. I wasn't informed of the new ownership, however this isn't the new managements fault. The staff at reception were excellent and very welcoming- couldnt do enough for us. The rooms were tired and common areas really need a refresh, hopefully the new management... More

After booking this hotel as a "mystery" hotel with 4 stars, I was disappointed to find that the hotel was actually not in the CBD but on the fringe of it, at Surrey Hills. Sometimes this does not matter as it is located within a vibrant shopping and transport area, however this hotel is in an area which I can... More

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed getting our hotel in your Mystery deal. With regards to the public transport Central station is only a 200 metre walk from our Hotel 5 – 10 minutes max depending on your walking speed. The Bus stop to go into the city is across the road on Elizabeth... More

We are an elderly couple who stayed at this hotel for a special occasion. We believed this hotel's promotion of in house dining only to find out on arrival that Albies Restaurant is no longer open for dinner only for breakfast! We are not familiar with Sydney and being in our seventies did not wish to be wandering the streets... More

I’m really sorry to read about your disappointment over the Restaurant closure. Unfortunately I’ve not seen the complaint letter you refer to? Anyone looking for a ‘special occasion’ restaurant should definitely speak to our Concierge, Ian Frenkel whose wealth of knowledge of the area would see you well looked after. It’s a real shame to here that your Anniversary was... More
