The Admiral Ale was superb - a beer of this strength and flavour without viscosity is a major achievement. The batter on the fish (cobbler) and chips was the best ever. The squid was so fresh it squeaked! And Despina had two different beers - a first. I wish this pub was my local.

Very spacious top floor room with the Harbour and Harbour Bridge views from windows that open.for fresh air. Quality bed. Quiet. Lovely breakfast and room though music choice could have been a little more subdued for breakfast time. Hotel with great atmosphere. Great service overall.

What a wonder restoration. The atmosphere in this old English style hotel is nostalgic and inviting. On a cold wet winters day in Sydney there is nothing better than sitting by the fire and sipping on on of the finest beers I have ever tasted. This craft brewery is very proud of their own product and so they should be.... More

This is an atypical hotel in a terrific area of Sydney. Walking distance to Circular Quay, the Wharf theater complex, etc., but on a calm corner, despite the pub below being busy and jovial. The room was large with great windows, the bed was comfy, the bathroom updated and sleek. Breakfast was decent, the muesli was quite tasty, the fruit... More

We stayed 5 nights at the Lord Nelson and loved it! The room was great, it came with breakfast and was in such a fantastic location in the Rocks...Had a few great meals and beer and wine in the pub (which was always busy)...The staff was very nice...Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone

What a great pub. Had just walked around the rocks and was heading for the observatory when we passed The Lord Nelson. A great old pub, real fire and beer served in pints. We tried Quayle Ale and Victory Bitter very much which washed down steak pie, mash and musth peas.

We stayed for three nights at the Lord Nelson - This is how we saw it: THE GOOD ***** Location, location, location in the Rocks Historic Pub, beautifully up-kept Room 201, large, bright, windows onto the street, comfortable bed, ensuite No noise in bedroom from downstairs bar - even on State of Origin night! Friendly, courteous reception and bar staff... More

This is one of the oldest pubs in Sydney just a short walk up from the Rocks. With its own brewery onsite, it provides a wide range of beers and refreshments. We were there for drinks only and had the Trafalgar Pale Ale which was an excellent drop indeed. It is full of character and is quite rustic in its... More

Bar menu looked good from what i saw. Fire was going, prob didn't need to given... More

So I really wanted to stay here when we went to Sydney a few years ago but they were already booked so this time around, I booked as soon as I knew when we would be in Sydney. And I think it was a great idea as it's very central to all (you can walk to most places), the rooms... More
