My girlfriend and I stayed at the Jolly Swagman for a week, in a double room. Although it wasn't so big, it was really nice. The room included a double bed, small fridge, Lcd, a fan, a small table and a sink. The bathrooms were clean and big, thing that I have never seen in other hostels. The kitchen is... More

If you like a loud, sleazy, party atmosphere and aren't planning on sleeping in Sydney this is the place for you. A brief stay for one night but the room was baking hot with a broken fan, and the noise outside of drunken teenagers on their first trip away from Mummy and Daddy went on all night and took the... I stayed here for 3 nights. Its quite far from the bus/train station so I got a taxi but once you turn into the street you can't miss it. I was in a 4 bed sharer with 3 guys. One of them had been there for 3 weeks and acted like he owned the room which wasn't cool. The rooms... More

This hostel is a bit out of the way and not very upbeat, the staff were helpful and friendly but if your looking for more of and exciting friendly place this I didn't think was it. Good hostel though overall

Maybe the worst hostel I have stayed in australia, and iv travelled the whole country. Too many people, over priced, dirty!! The whole place smelled of tuna and sick. The staff were unhelpful and extremely rude. Avoid at all cost.

Stayed here one night only, private double was nice although overpriced. We had TV and a fridge. Bed comfy. Downstairs area had people slobbing all over the place, a macho crowd of lads. Enjoyed free sausages at night. Front desk arranged airport transfer, driver was around 90 and drove like a maniac. Not sure that was hostels fault.

Probably one of the worst hostels I've stayed in and hosing been backpacking for more then 5 months, I've had plenty of experience with hostels! The kitchen was dirty and people didn't seem to respect it. The "lounge" is just a bunch of beanbags and people sit outside the front door in big groups which can be intimidating unless you... More

When it comes to food they kinda suck. Free breakfast but it's never enough food, free BBQ means one sausage, the kitchen is spacious but you have to deposit for pots and pans and they only have three. Seriously, three people can cook at the same time which means if some people waits hours after cooking until they clean their... More

Stayed there for a week in a double private room and it was nice. Room was tidy and not very noisy over the weekends. The staff were friendly. Free WiFi drops connection frequently during the peak hours (5pm to 11pm) which was understandable. During non peak hours it was very fast. Had a mishap on the first day. A cockroach... More
