We stayed at the Arts Hotel recently for a family get together. What a great find! Mark on reception was courteous and professional, the room was exactly as we expected and the room rate is unbeatable for the area. We parked on site which was excellent, however, be warned - the parking is on a first in first served basis.... More

This hotel us on distant end of Oxford street. Price was best I could find at the time but a little pricy for the accomodation provided. Inside sun/swim area can be noisy and is a smoking area so you can't have windows open. Ok budget hotel if you can get a good price. The rooms and hallways are very dated... More

I stayed in the Arts Hotel in Sydney for a week at the end of a 9 week stay in Australia. The Hotel itself is quite ordinary, with the average facilities. What made my stay really enjoyable was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is also perfectly situated, accessible to all the important sights!

I stayed here on business recently, and my boss and I were quite surprised to find how rundown the place was for the price, - especially because it looked quite flash in the photos. The location was great, and it was clean enough, but no in room facilities and the breakfast was very basic (no cooked option). The receptionist was... More

My partner and I chose to stay here due to close proximity to health services and the city. The rooms are very small and out dated however it was clean and generally well maintained. The location is very convenient to cafés and pubs for meals. There is a good working lift and stairs to some of the rooms if you... More

My family and I stayed here for our last week of a months trip from uk to oz. What a disappointment! The rooms were outdated, filthy and we had the added bonus of a cockroach. When I informed reception of this the reply was 'cockroaches will always find a way to get in.' This is the worst hotel I've ever... More

Stayed here for two nights while visiting Sydney. The hotel was OK, but it is in need of a makeover. The room was outdated and really basic. The shower had mold and was small. Location is OK, but it is still a 20 minute walk to the citycenter or central station. We wanted to ask the staff information about the... More

My wife and I were in Sydney for one night on business and chose this hotel because of its location and price. The room was smallish but still had space for queen and single beds. The beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. The staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived late in the evening... More

My wife and I came from NZ to see the final performance of Otello at the Opera House and had no hesitation in staying at the Arts yet again. As a recently retired Senior University lecturer in Marketing and Tourism I am very aware of what constitutes superior service and we have always found it so here.Yes, there does need... More

Great little hotel mid way between Paddington and Darlinghurst. As a Ex Sydneysider this is there area I want to stay, close to the city, beaches, shopping, a huge selection of restaurants, bars and parks. Buses at the door going into town or out to Bondi Junction, great shopping, and Bondi beach. A reasonable walk to Paddo markets and the... More
