Returned this weekend to Arts Hotel, having stayed there over New Year 2002-2003 and was not disappointed.
A comfortable bed with spotlessly clean sheets, equally clean shower room, flat screen TV with BBC UK channel - a wonderful surprise for a soap opera-deprived pom living in Singapore. AC worked well and quietly.
Good breakfast complete with fresh fruit and cooked...

A fairly typical 3 star hotel. Not expensive and in a fairly central area. Oxford Street is a great shopping and cafe street that starts in the city and puts you well on the way to Bondi beach....if you are from overseas you should know you can't walk to the beach but a bus or taxi is an easy option....

Tea and coffee making in the room, wi-fi worked in our room, good sized tele. Bathroom updated, looks good & works well - plenty of hot water. Breakfast...

On the few occasions I needed...

You know you've stepped back into the 80s, but someone has tried to hide it with a few modern pieces in the foyer, but when you hit the room and the bed spread is pink floral. The rooms were clean, but oh so small, and the Oxford Street aspect was well on boring side. I really felt like I'd paid...

We stayed in this hotel for just two nights but were happy with our choice. The room was very basic but pretty soundproof and although the bathroom was small, everything was clean. Service was also good. Next door is a cafe where you get a discount (noisy, slow service but ok food). The best part of this hotel is that...

Had a casual dinner in the upstairs restaurant with 2 others. Super atmosphere, attentive service and well presented tasty dishes. Highly recommend dining experience.
