The doubleroom was so small that we could not open our suitcases. The house and the rooms need urgent renovation. The backyard was badly kept with all kind of junk. We were mislead by the guesthouse rating, they inform they have three and half stars. I seriously doubt it.

Sorry you were so unhappy with your stay with us. The time you stayed with us was the New Year period and we were fully booked with a lot of young people as the Fireworks display does tend to attract. We did do our best to allocate a bigger room to you once it became possible. Our Guest House rating... More

After a long flight, we were greeted by the owners in a very friendly manner. There is a great atmosphere, were guests and personel are happy. The owner gave ud great advise on what to do, and was very helpful. The rooms are not modernly decorated, but are big and charming. Spacious and clean kitchen and cozy garden. Centrally located,... A place to stay only if it is the only place available. The room temperature management is poor. The beds are not for anyone sensitive to a good nights sleep. Rooms are poorly insolated to sound so you will hear everything in close proximity. The decor is non-existent, and cleanliness is ok.

Sorry you were unhappy with your stay. Our room temperature control is by electric coil heater or fan. The Skylight in the room is also ventilated. The bed in the room is 6 months old. Glad to hear that you thought the cleanliness was OK. More

Great location, various choice of foods around, close to pubic transport. 10' to CBD by bus. Though we arrived lately (midnight), we got a lovely warm welcome by staff. Jolie was helpful welcoming. Even the middle-aged cleaner, he was also friendly and cheerful. Kitchen facilities were tidy and clean. Thanks.

A lovely old building in need of refurbishment or at least some TLC. Cleanliness was OK, just, but the bathroom, such as it was, smelled of open drain and had patches of mold in the shower, cracked tiles, etc. More Hostel than Hotel. I found the experience somewhat depressing, although the staff were pleasant. Location is great if you need... More

I was generally pleased with this place. I stayed here for a few nights and my room was comfortable and spacious, with a great little balcony attached. The shared bathroom and kitchen facilities were clean and basic. The receptionist was really welcoming and helpful, and the whole place had a friendly atmosphere. The location is perfect for Sydney U but... More

I booked a single room with share facilities for 4 nights but got a room with 4 beds for my own (nothing to complain though). The room was comfortable and clean. The only drawback was that I couldn't open the window. The location was great with a walking distance to the University of Sydney. There're lots of cafe on the... More

Stayed in a double room for one night. It was quite small, but not too small. Included a TV, ensuite, fridge and coffee/tea facilities. Staff were quite friendly and helpful. Staying in Glebe

Neighborhood Profile
Glebe
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
