I stayed here over new years and found the location great. The service was ok but the rooms were teeny tiny and and very uncomfortable. The restaurant was great but I would not stay there again - the location is perfect but it is not worth the money. more

Our stay at the Hughenden, where we had stayed quite a few times before, was very disappointing. The carpet required vaccuuming and the facilities were very basic. Very little thought has been put into the decor. The "antiquess" were a couple of 1950's bits with art work that looked like it had been donated from the local primary school. All... more

We had never been to Sydney before so were unsure of where would be a good location or place to stay. We came across this small hotel which looked unique and interesting and a bit more warm and cosy than those sterile large hotels. It was perfect! Located so convinenantly near everything that we wanted to see - 15 mins... more

My family and I have had a Wonderful Stay! Thank you to all of the lovely staff, they were so nice and helpful! Room was perfect for family of 5! We really enjoyed our stay, it was something different rather than just a simple boring room. Every morning we all look forward to the Breakfast, it was so delicious. Yumm!... more

I pre booked a family "apartment" in November 2008 for our stay in march 2009. I especially mentioned that i had a three month old baby, a five year old child , my husband and his mother as well as myself- that we were looking for a two bedroom apartment with a lounge - all was confirmed- price, cot, bath... more

This "boutique" hotel is too quaint for me. I like clean modern amenities. This hotel has none of those. The rooms need a good clean and a paint. The furniture is not antique just old and shabby. I stayed in two rooms during my one week stay. The first room was very small, with a very small cupboard that would... more

From the moment you step into this charming victorian mansion you are instantly transported to the early 1900's. With its crystal chandaleers, 1920 jazz playing in the background and antique furniture, the Hughenden brings back nostalgic memories of my great grandmothers home. You are welcomed by friendly staff who were so helpful and always assisted us with a smile on... more

We stayed over the Australia day longweekend and found the Hotel to be just satisfactory . The bath room was impossibly small (you had to put your head in the wash basin to use the toilet) and a little grubby . On one day we had no towels and had to dress and ask at the desk as reception did... more

Last Saturday December 13th I married at the Hughenden Boutique Hotel. Not only have I fielded daily phone calls from my guests and family since the day praising the Hughenden and its staff, but my husband and I are also still raving to each other about how easy, beautiful and amazing the entire experience was. From the moment we met... more

I stayed at the Hughenden Boutique Hotel for the first time last month, and absolutely loved it! I stayed in the Gatehouse apartment - I got a free upgrade when I checked in, so it was fabulous value. I ate breakfast every morning at the cafe/restaurant (I think it was called Quaife's) and the staff were super helpful, catering for... more
