This hotel was a fabulous renovation from the old wharf so has a really different character and a great location. On this occasion I had an interesting room at the front and although near the road it wasn't noisy. Great comfort levels, nice toiletries and food much above average for room service while not being more than Im used to... More

We stayed for a weekend in a marina view loft room. The staff were warm and helpful, it was a beautiful room with a water view from the windows and city view from the skylight - amazing to wake up to (we kept the blind open). The pillows were the best I've ever slept on. Although there was music from... More

Do NOT stay here if you want rest, peace and quiet. The people who run this place seem to think that having loud music in the bar with a few paying drinkers is more important than the enjoyment of a rest in a quiet hotel for the "guests" paying 2 or 3 hundred dollars a night. Ridiculous place. As I... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated. With due respect we are somewhat confused by your comments. I note that you stayed during May and on a Sunday night. With the exception of Mothers Day 13th May when we had a live singer singing to back-up music for our Mothers Day High Tea, which promptly finished... More

Stayed there for a night on 11th May. Typical Taj hospitality which I love. I have been to many Taj hotels in India so was excited to stay there. Staff is very nice and importantly very pleasant. Rooms are big but needs renovation. It did not give the feel of luxuary which I associate with Taj Hotels. Food was awesome.... More

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are very proud of our Taj heritage and hospitality. Very glad also to read that you have experienced many of the Taj properties in India. We have recently opened a ‘new’ Palace; The former residence of the Nizam of Hyderabad, Falaknuma Palace, which is just stunning. Also do keep an... More

In all my years of travelling, and there have been many years and many trips, I have never had anything stolen. It was a real surprise to have a personal item taken from our room. The hotel said that they had interviewed the staff and no-one admitted to taking it. What a surprise! Given the number of times we have... More

Stayed for 2 nights with my better half at the end of a 2 week trip down the East Coast. The luxury, detail and style was most welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Good location with cabs easy to find. Direct walk into the Botanic Gardens. Nice little gym. Lovely bar, perhaps slightly quiet but a nice place for... More

The hotel is build into the complex of a former wharf, taking half of the building, the other half is taken by luxury appartments. Some parts of the former wharf architecture are integrated into the rooms design (wooden beams, steel constructions), We had a "Superior Wharf Room" looking eastward, giving enough room for two adults. The room was located near... More

BLUE is located in a converted shipping wharf and maintains a lot of the original features both internally and externally. As other reviewers have noted, this makes it a unique setting for a hotel. The wharf includes a few excellent restaurants such as Otto (Italian), Manta (seafood) and Kinglseys (steak). But if you feel like a short excursion, BLUE is... More

Blue was very unique - I loved the lobby/bar area as well as the rooms. The service was amazing - turndown service every night with all the great amenities. It was close to Circular Quay, the CBD and places like Potts Pointe. Our room was amazing - plus the bathroom was spacious and beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful! More
