some things that could be improved. front reception counter people were great to deal with. Great location. Restaurant food not the best. Hard to sleep as the street noise could be heard from my room (3rd floor). some soundproof windows would go along way.

Glad we were booked at this hotel - near to the Wynyard station and midst in the city and close to all attractions I was seeking to experience. Everything was within walking distance. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. Dining in the hotel was also very good. Overall I was highly pleased with the hotel staff. Reception team is... More

Room smelt like wet mouldy carpet, shower pressure so bad you had to run around in circles to get wet, bathroom floor dirty. Renovations upstairs meant we were woken at 7am with drilling & hammers. No ability for a late checkout. Shocking all round.

Overall it's good. It's at a walking distance of 10 - 15 mins from Pitt Street Mall. There is no service to drop your luggage to your room Room size are fine but food options are very limited and no omlet in the menu.. They should at least add this.

Our second stop on our travels. Booking in was efficiently completed by competent and friendly staff. The room was clean but unfortunately no view only the blank wall of an adjacent tall building. No problem on a short stay you don't spend time in the room. About 25 minutes for a very steady walk to Darling Harbour. A lot to... More

The room was a good size and the price was very reasonable. As a business traveler I appreciated the proximity to Wynyard train station for quick and easy transfer to the domestic airport. The staff were friendly and informal which I liked and it was a no nonsense but positive experience. I will definitely stay again!

We were very pleased that our travel agent chose the Travelodge Wynyard as we only had a couple of days in Sydney and wanted to be right in the city close to all the attractions we wanted to experience and we weren't disappointed. Everything was within walking distance. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. Dining in the hotel was... More

Make sure you book this on a mega deal as its not worth the regular rate. Defective rooms and no one really cares. Shower was broken. Never got fixed. Room was clean at least. The dining was below average for the price.

Pleasant stay for three nights. Comfy, clean and surprisingly quiet, despite being given an interconnecting room which I hate and usually avoid. Luckily our neighbours were not inconsiderate. Considering its location, no road noise heard from the room and we found it quiet enough. Liked the shutters instead of curtains. Also pleasantly surprised to see a partial harbour view looking... Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
