We stayed here for two nights at the end of a three week trip in Australia as a treat before we flew back to London. We were very pleased with the room (side view room) and with the gorgeous balconies looking over Hall St and Bondi Beach. The room was decorated really tastefully and looked amazing in my opinion. We... more

I stayed at Ravesi over the New Year period (so take into account I was paying top whack) and it was intended to be the highlight of our trip. We hired the deluxe split level penthouse at the front of the hotel and were very disappointed. As you'll see from the website one of the highlights we thought we were... more

Ravesi's has a spectacular location, right across the street from Bondi Beach. It also has a very good restaurant and a sensational bar scene. The rooms and public spaces are a little tired, and the whole place could use a renovation. I think it is relatively expensive for Sydney (A$500 per night for a suite), but you are paying for... more

We stayed here over the weekend (Thurs-Mon) just before Christmas and it was like having a nightclub in our room! The speakers for the nightclub/cocktail bar were directly below our room and the open smoking area was also below our room and it was incredibly noisey until 1pm!! We did complain (and was obviously not the first time they'd heard... more

Bondi Beach is a spectacular place, and Ravesi's clearly has the monopoly on expensive (i.e. small but pricey) hotels. The rooms are spacious and the views are lovely, but this IS NOT a boutique hotel. The service was atrocious. We depleted the 6 Kleenex in a box on our first night, and used toilet tissue instead for the remainder of... more

I would avoid this place if i were you. The website makes it look cool and relaxed, somewhere to unwind. You are in reality hit with an awful smell as you enter this place. Some bright spark kitted the place out in a horribe looking carpet. This wouldn't have been too much of a problem until half of Bondi decided... more

Almost passed on this gem due to the so-so reviews on this website but the weakening Aussie dollar encouraged us to take a gamble, and I'm so glad we did!!! The We booked a side-view room for about $160 US per night ($240 AUS) from November 25-28, 2008, on www.wotif.com. The whole experience was fantastic from check-in to check-out. We... more

Having been told Ravesi's had undergone a major refurb we booked 2 nights in a slpit level room for 2 adults & 2 children. We were pleasantly surpised by the size of the room - an open terrace and lounge area included - the decor is funky and included a KING size bed and it was remarkably quiet, given we... more

If you want to know what it feels like to sleep in a bustling bus terminal, then I would highly recommend staying at Ravesi. You cannot possibly find a noisier 5 STAR HOTEL anywhere in the world than Ravesi. Forget about the picture of tranquillity on Ravesi's website - it simply does not exist! The level of noise that you... more

Stayed here April 2007. The most unfriendly bunch of people you will ever meet. Most definitely overated and overpriced. Pay no attention to pics on website. Furnishings are of a cheap quality and room stinks of beer. This is below B&B standard, but at least you get breakfast and a smile at a B&B!! I travel frequently to many destinations... more
