This was a first for me - a swanky inner city hotel. Greeted by a warm friendly young man who opened my car door and unloaded our luggage. I expected the staff to be a bit snobby and look down on my friend and I - just your average bogans. But they didn't. All the staff were so warm and... More

I have stayed at this property many times over the last decade or so and have always been satisfied. My last visit was a real treat! Sadly it was only one night. I had a suite, a little pricy, but very nice, the bed was a delight. I can say I had nothing to complain about :) The major surprise... More

We booked a short getaway for 3 days in Sydney. We booked a combined flight and hotel package online via a travel website. The price of the package was very low so we were not expecting much. Instead, we were treated to the full 5 star experience, with an excellent room that was large and spacious, with an equally large... More

I stayed here a couple of months ago and it was just a night to pamper myself. Upon check in, I was told that i was complimentary upgraded and all the staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are just amazing, clean and the view from the balcony is just beautiful. In room dining staff was attentive and the... More

Whilst this hotel is in a good location for easy access to shopping and sights it fell short on what you'd expect from a 5*. The rooms were bland and basic given the cost. The swimming pool is tiny and there wasn't enough seating on both occasions we used it. The thing I found most annoying though was that wifi... More

Stayed at the Sheraton for the 2 nights leading up to Christmas. Had a lot of noise in the surrounding rooms at night both on my floor and above. Had a room service hamburger that was $36 on the room service menu. They charged $38 on the bill ( price rise apparently) then they hit me with an $8 delivery... More

It's nice to enter a hotel that still runs like a hotel should. Yes, it's 5 star rated so it should, however I find time and time again that few places have the style of service of say 20 years ago, when a guest is treated like a guest. Sheraton on the Park does this so well. Staff provide a... More

Sheraton On the park is definitely our family's favorite in downtown. The location is nearly perfect for public transportation access and to Hyde Park, Domain, RBG etc. We come regularly to spend a night or two here, even just for the view from the lounge.

At check-in we decided to pay extra for a room with a 'balcony' overlooking the park - which was lovely except every time we went onto the balcony we were inundated with cigarette smoke wafting from other adjoining balcony rooms (the top 6 level of the hotel offer rooms with balcony's). This hotel clearly advertises itself as a NON-SMOKING hotel... More

We visit Sydney one or two times a year & have stayed here consistently for nearly the last 10 years because it’s generally a fantastic hotel & has a great central location. We stayed in an Executive Suite overlooking the beautiful Hyde Park for 2 nights. With an Executive Suite you automatically have access to the Sheridan Club on Level... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
