Beautiful views of Sydney Harbor. Friendly service. Great location and clean, well-appointed home away from home. I highly recommend spending a little extra for the wall-to-wall windows and view of Sydney Harbor. We ended up cooking in our apartment and saved a lot of money doing so.

Stayed here for 3 weeks in December due to work commitments. The one room service apartment was huge and more definitely more than adequate for me. Housekeeping was generally alright. Some of the TV channels didn't work in my room. Front desk service could be better though. I called the front desk to have someone collect my laundry, as per... More

We stayed there Quay West Suite from Jan 29 to Feb 3, 2016, five long nights lived with the number of cockroaches creeps everywhere as bedroom, bathroom, living room all overspread it out. What a terrible experience we had. We reported to the front desk people first but seems they do not care cockroaches problem of all over it, and... More

Nice location, great views, friendly staff, decently appointed rooms, good housekeeping -- all moot because the Internet service is all but unusable: either slow, or erratic, or not working at all, sometimes because the hotel throttles download speeds and caps data, sometimes because the hotel's server isn't working, sometimes because the ISP has a problem. Who cares the reason? The... More

I stayed here for a couple of days around Australia Day to celebrate my 40th birthday with my son and a friend. On arrival i was surprised with a delicious bottle of sparkling white wine and a birthday card from the hotel which was a great start to celebrations. The hotel is located within walking distance to the train from... More

Two couples traveling to Sydney booked in here for Australia Day (January 26). Our two bedroom suite had a killer view of the Sydney Harbor. The hotel staff was extremely competent and helpful. The suite itself was average. One large bedroom held a king bed and the en suite had both shower and tub, two closets, and drawer space. The... More

Stayed in one bedroom suite, and could not ask for a better room or a view. Combining this with great service and solid F&B offered by this hotel its a winner for any one that is looking for stunning views and great hospitality.

Nice, spacious 2 bedroom w/ the best view of the Sydney bridge, opera house. 5 of us were very comfortable. Nice pool. Small workout room, but good enough. Nice staff. Good location, can walk many places. Small kitchen if you want to cook or at least make tea or coffee. Wifi spotty. Nice touch having apples and water available in... More

I recently spent 3 nights in Sydney staying at the Quay West Suites in The Rocks. The two bedroom apartment was very clean, spacious and the view from the living area of the Bridge and Opera House area was stunning. The staff were friendly and efficient and contributed to making this getaway a most pleasurable one for all. I have... More

We have just returned from four nights at the above hotel in Sydney, the hotel is made up of self contained units of a very high standard with views to die for. We were on the 17th floor with a view of the harbour on our second morning the liner Carnival Spirit had birthed during the night and made a... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
