We wanted a spectacular location in Sydney, and the Novotel on Darling Harbour suited our wishes. Right above the waterfront and with lovely views of the city skyline at night. We chose a 1 bedroom suite and paid through the nose for it. It had 2 levels with main bed on upper floor like a loft. There is also a... more

stayed in this hotel for a work conference at the Convention Centre. On the plus side, it was very very close to the venue... but unfortunately the downsides outweigh the plus. I found that there was always a considerable line at reception (even in the late evening) and the room I was given smelled like a mixture of smoke and... more

The restaurant here, imaginatively titled, "Dish. A restaurant", has appalling service. The food was average (steak ordered MR came out well done) but the service was terrible. Not recommended. more

Very noisy with parties in surrounding rooms. Drunks staggering the halls all night. Staff don't care. This hotel is an absolute disgrace. Stay at your own peril. more

Hi Thanks for posting your review on our Hotel. We also have an online Guest Book which allows guests to communicate to us about any issues, and we try to resolve this from there. On the night in question it was the Football Grand Final and unfortunately there were a few rowdy guests. What concerns me the most is you...

We chose the Novotel because my husband is an Accor Adv member and the price was cheaper than a lot of other Sydney options. We may have got an even better rate on one of the last minute accommodation sites? It was a fairly easy 20 min drive from the domestic airport - a few wrong turns along the way... more

I went to Sydney on business for a week and booked this hotel through Lastminute.com. Knowing that I was going to arriving from the UK at 6:15am, I emailed the hotel to see if I could check in early (and pay a supplement). I got an indifferent 'no promises, we'll see what we can do' reply. When I did turn... more

Booked the hotel through lastminute.com , and upgraded the suite from a standard room to a harbor view.I personally requested a high room with a good view, and was pleasantly surprised when they gave us the 9th floor (there are 10 altogether) with a FANTASTIC view. I had reservations about the standards based on reviews from this site, but I... more

Stayed here over New Year's with my boyfriend. Great location overlooking Darling Harbour, although we had to change rooms as we had paid for a Harbour View room which at first we were not given. Very big rooms, and nice. 2 minute stroll over the bridge to the centre, and perfect location for the water taxis going round to Sydney... more
