Super location. Rooms are compact (by Australian standards - big for Europe!) Expected traffic and street noise but this wasn't a problem. more

I recently stayed at the Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour as part of a Collette Vacation South Pacific Wonder Tour. We were in Sydney 3 nights at this hotel. Upon checking in, my room had not been made up so I was moved 2 rooms over. (Being assigned to an unmade up room is the only reason I took a point... more

I'm normally not the person who would bother about writing a review, especially not if it's a negative one. But I was pretty astonished about this hotel. The first day we arrived, we checked in and dropped our luggage off in our rooms. The room was supposed to be a great room, because of a Wotif deal. Anyway, the room... more

Normally I don't mind waiting a couple of minutes to be served (check in), as long as I receive some sort of acknowledgement from the staff that they have seen me. Usually a "hello" or even just a smile is suficient. I understand phones are ringing, paperwork has to be done etc... After 10 minutes of questioning if the plane... more

I was disappointed in the Novotel Rockford on a recent trip to Sydney. Having stayed at several Novotels and Accor properties in the past, I had a certain expectation, but was quickly let down. After waiting several minutes to check-in (which seemed to be the norm- there was a constant wait to speak with anyone at reception), I requested a... more

We were planning to spend a week in this hotel in April with my team from work, however one I spent one night, made sure that when we returned we'd stay elsewhere. It wasn't that the hotel was horrible, but the rooms were tiny, the bathroom was even smaller and the restaurant offered one of the most bland and limited... more

room was so basic, we have stayed in better travel lodges and at £100 a night it was poor value. felt sorry for the staff they were so overworked, there was a permanent queue at the reception. the pool was very small and the club lounge very basic. the room and bed were not comfortable at all and a bit... more

Front rooms extremely noisy due to traffic. Staff promised to move me during the day while I was away at conference, but 'forgot' and I had to force them to change me. Rooms small and in need of a good paint job. Furniture looking shabby and worn. Breakfasts not cheap at all. Contintental $24.00 !! I will not stay there... more

This hotel represents excellent value, its convenient for Darling Harbour, chinese gardens and chinatown. Its a pleasant walk to the city centre and circular quay. The room was very comfortable, bed was excellent and we had great views of the chinese gardens. Unfortunately the air con unit was a little noisy. more

Stayed here for 2 nights and it had everything we needed. Good location, 5 minute walk to Darling Harbour, good service and nice room, with a big plasma tv. Big bathroom with hot water and very clean. What more can you ask for?? more
