We stayed at this hotel upon returning from a cruise. We needed one night before flying home. We arrived early back into Sydney (before 10am) and upon our arrival at the apartment were immediately welcomed. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We had heaps of luggage and walking up the front stairs didn't make me happy - no ramp.... More

Stayed here January 2012 with 3 kids, on 5th floor overlooking the intersection of Sussex & King Streets. Having paid more than I really wanted to , I expected at least a decent standard of accomadation. However the lift was quite frightening, the corridor to our room was claustrophobic & stunk & then we entered the room........a small, crowded ,dingy... More

I was pleased with my stay at these apartments, mainly because I had a room on a high floor. During my stay there were roadworks directly outside which were INCREDIBLY noisy, and I dread to think what guests in lower floor rooms were going through. This can hardly be blamed on the hotel of course, but it does illustrate that... More

I was very impressed with these apts. The harbour is just 2 mins across the road, where you can get a ferry which takes you under the famous bridge on your way to see the opera house. It is a tad noisey, but i travel every where with ear plugs so had no probs realy, and my two kids never moaned at all,... I stayed here with my mother and my grandmother. It was a great room however the stairs were too much for my grandmother. Even for me at times in the middle of the night when I was sleepy and had to treck up about 20 steps. A bit far from the bridge but you can catch a ferry. It is a... More

Spend the extra 20-30 dollars and stay somewhere that takes more care and consideration. A horrible stay. Double glazed windows? The noise would suggest otherwise. I was traveling on my own on this occasion and did not feel safe in these apartments. I am glad it was for just one night. Could do with a really good clean and the... More

Stayed at the Metro with hubby and 7 year old in October holidays 2011. Stayed on the 4th floor and exceptional views across darling harbour. The best thing about these apartments is the location to transport. Straight across the road to kings wharf for ferry trips, 5 min walk to monorail, which takes you to paddy's markets, light rail connections,... More

Being on a budget, chose Metro as have stayed in other Metros in and around Sydney with fair results. However this one is the exception. On the Saturday night [for which the tariff was not cheap] managed 2hours sleep due to the feral behaviour out on the street from midnight to after 5am and the room offered no protection from... Booked a 6 night through Qantas and was extremly shocked and disapointed by the shabby apartment. I had read the reviews on here but noted that the rooms were being refurbished and I often think some people just love to moan so I was not too worried. We arrived and were alocated room 205. We are a couple with 2... More

The hotel is rundown and extreamley over priced. To get to reception you must get up a large flight of stairs and lug you bags up them NO ramp or help. The location is at the entrance to the cafe strip but the noise of late night revelers and police sirens come right into the room all night. Could see... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I do find much of what you have stated as incorrect. The Apartments are not run down at all, in-fact the owners and Metro have been refurbishing the Apartments over the past 2 years. As stated in all our information to guests on websites and to travel agents and when... More
