I came to Sydney this week for uni and stayed at the Macleay and thought the room was nice and clean, but best of all was the location. It was $20 cab to uni, $10 to the city with great restaurants right at the door step. It was good value and I would definitely stay again next trip.

Very tired rooms and surroundings. For the price they're asking it truly is a joke. There are much better appointed and modern rooms available throughout Potts Point that are considerably cheaper. Location isn't that ideal either. We were pretty disappointed once we stepped into our room but what really got our blood boiling was the ridiculous rules they impose re:... More

Dear Sir I am very sorry to read that your stay with us was not a pleasant one. You have mentioned in your review the location of the hotel is not great, I am not sure where you wanted to be close to but the location of the hotel in inner city Potts Point and so close to the city... More

The hotel is quite basic but it offers good value. The room was comfortable although the furniture and bathroom are quite old. The cleanliness was ok, although some more attention is needed for corners, lamps, etc… Morning reception was very helpful, allowed for an early check-in not only for us but they were making the effort for other people who... We had a great few days in Sydney. Our room had a harbour view which was fantastic! Good restaurants cafes and a supermarket nearby and if you enjoy walking an easy walk to the city; The room is not huge with a small kitchen. The only negative and a minor one was that the bath room is tiny. The reception... More

The hotel located in a good location, and all the things are good except for the night shift staff's services.I went to sydney with my other two friends from oversea during the weekend, and we went out for drink on Saturday night. When we went back to the hotel, it was around 4 o'clock. The security did not let us... More

I stopped here before having my operation and my husband stayed whilst he visited. We had a harbour view room (not opera house or bridge) and it had everything we could have needed. There was a small kitchenette with microwave which was also an oven and grill also a fridge. The bathrooms could do with updating but they were spotless.... More

Large, clean room, nice view, kitchenette don't need much more. There is a woolworths supermarket and BWS across the road for supplies, the street is full of cafes and restaurants which also leads into kings cross which is only a 5-10 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again. Only downfall, was that we stayed in a Queen Harbour view... More

Excellent value for money with easy access to the heart of Sydney. The reception staff were always extremely helpful. The no-frills room was clean and comfortable. Great for a city stay at a good price.

We stayed for a week in a room with a harbour view. The rooms are small and could use a little updating, but they are clean and well maintained. It is very nice to have the kitchen as we saved quite a bit of money eating in the hotel. There is a large grocery store across the street to help... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights on a week-long visit to Sydney. It is well-connected for beach walks, botanical gardens, and a 15-20 minutes to Harbour Bridge. The room needed a refresh but was comfortable and a good size. The area where it is located (Elizabeth Bay) is a wonderful well-kept neighbourhood with good eating options and lots... More
