An acquaintance of mine, hearing I was looking to stay in Sydney, assured me this was the best value quality hotel in the city. "Look no further' was her instruction. I didn't, and book din for three nights in early December. It's absolutely lovely - sweet little swimming pool, clean, near transport inks, funky, and with very willing staff. If... More

We stayed on the top floor(9th floor) Queen size Harbourview room, although traffic noise only loud when sliding windows left open otherwise fine. Nuisance factor about the shower door opening over the toilet, so could be an accident waiting to happen?! However, room was spacious with a lovely wee kitchenette. Could've had more lights over this area tho. Not really... More

Stayed here for 2 weeks, location is fab, walking distance to Sydney Harbour/Circular Quay in approx 30 mins although great links to city via bus/kings cross train station. Taxi approx 16 AUD to City! Only downside of hotel is having to pay for wifi, 8 dollars per day or 35 dollars for 7 days, could have been complimentary/reduced for amount... More

Among some of the things I recall about this hotel are the views. Great views of the Sydney Bridge and the Opera House - from your room. I also recall not but a stone's throw away is a supermarket, either Coles or Woolies and quite a few restaurants as well. The kitchenette in the rooms are decent enough. If you're... More

To be honest, the apartments are a bit older and the 'kitchenette' is truly tiny, but it is all worth it for the views and the location. Directly across the road fro a huge Woolworths and bottle shop, with a fresh food grocer above it, you will not need to spend any more than you want to for food. Having... More

Got a great deal on this hotel on the Travelpony website - with a great harbourview room. The Potts Point neighbourhood is rather charming and quieter than the CBD. Convenient location- 5 minutes to Kings Cross Station, buses running to Circular quay / Hyde park from right across the road from hotel. 2 stops by train to Bondi Junction where... More

On a solo trip, I didn't mind walking a bit to the touristy sites and I didn't want to pay downtown prices. I also wanted a comfortable but not luxurious hotel. So the reviews led me to Potts Point and the Macleay. It turned out to be one of those finds where you smile to yourself in satisfaction. The staff... More

6 nights. Have stayed here before a few times and every time was good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are good size with small kitchenette. The view from some of the Harbor View rooms is just awesome. Top Restaurants, Cafes and shops are all here. Local bus stop and train just a couple of hundred meters. Good... More
