Large, clean room, nice view, kitchenette don't need much more. There is a woolworths supermarket and BWS across the road for supplies, the street is full of cafes and restaurants which also leads into kings cross which is only a 5-10 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again. Only downfall, was that we stayed in a Queen Harbour view... More

Excellent value for money with easy access to the heart of Sydney. The reception staff were always extremely helpful. The no-frills room was clean and comfortable. Great for a city stay at a good price.

We stayed for a week in a room with a harbour view. The rooms are small and could use a little updating, but they are clean and well maintained. It is very nice to have the kitchen as we saved quite a bit of money eating in the hotel. There is a large grocery store across the street to help... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights on a week-long visit to Sydney. It is well-connected for beach walks, botanical gardens, and a 15-20 minutes to Harbour Bridge. The room needed a refresh but was comfortable and a good size. The area where it is located (Elizabeth Bay) is a wonderful well-kept neighbourhood with good eating options and lots... More

There were some good things about this hotel. It's located a quick walk to the ocean, tons of bars and restaurants, clean rooms, etc. I had a view of the opera house from my room. That all being said, I would not stay here again. The feel of the room really would make the Motel 6 look like a 5... More

Spent 5 nights in April and I enjoyed staying at this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the start when I checked in, explaining about the attractions in the area and around Sydney, how to get around, etc. There was a computer with free internet opposite the reception. There was free wifi in the room. I had... More

It is quite hard to find reasonably priced accommodation of this standard in Sydney, let alone in Potts Point. The Macleay is in a great location on the main street of Potts Point, close to a supermarket (across the road), restaurants, cafes and only a 5 minute walk from Kings Kross Station. The staff were friendly and helpful and whilst... More

We had booked in advance after a lot of search and comparison. We were not disappointed. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Best part was the location. Its 3 kilometres from darling harbour and almost all the major attractions of Sydney are on the way there. The opera house, harbour bridge, central quay, Imax, Madam toussads, sea life, tower eye,... Spent 9 days a the Macleay and it is worth every penny/cent/peso whatever your money is. The staff are friendly and very helpful - the rooms clean, tidy and the mini kitchen is ideal what with a Woolworths Supermarket less than 50 yards across the road. From a stop almost right outside the Hotel, Bus route 311 takes you right... More
