Unless you like finding syringes under your bed, I suggest that you stay at another hotel. I think that the top level of this hotel must have bigger or nicer rooms. But if you pay for a standard or queen room, watch out! The rooms ARE NOT as advertised! I was taken to a tiny, windowless room. The bathroom was... more

We (as many others have) expected a decent room, nothing too flash for the price. When we checked in: 1. There was no parking. Ok can deal with that. 2. Room was tiny. Near windowless it was a wedge shaped little thing with a tiny bathroom. 3. Room was not as described. We paid for a Queen size bed in... more

Very mucht to the opposite of the earlier comments over here, L'otel can be absolutely stunning when booking the better rooms. I have been staying with them 3 times over the last few months now and must say that it is fantastic value for money in the most perfect location. The budget rooms might be tiny, did not see them... more

i booked this hotel before I read the reveiws- i then read these tripadvisor reviews and thus approached my stay with trepidation. I was thankfully surprised. I had a great room- the one that is inthe pics on the website- a balcony room- adequate size for a lone traveller or for a couple.. Staff were always friendly- though i was... more

Firstly, a great location. Minutes walk to the Kingscross train station and the guy on the desk was really friendly. But... the room was dirty and the walls in desperate need of plaster and paint, carpet was not vacuumed, bathroom had mold, shower curtain didn't reach the floor - so the bathroom was a flood very time you had a... more

From the very second we walked into this place, we wanted to leave. Unfortunately, our budget wouldn't allow it. Parking was the first issue - the guy at reception seemed confused when we asked where we could leave our car during our 3 day stay, but eventually suggested the hospital several blocks away. The room itself was windowless and filthy.... more

Well, where do you start with such a horrendous hotel experience? It is 3:06 AM, we are in bed unable to sleep for the third night in a row due to the music BLASTING from the adjoining nightclubs (they don't tell you about that on the website) We have moved rooms 3 times, always with the same promise that it... more

This hotel rates with the worst I have ever stayed in. Rooms were dirty and smelt of damp. Rooms looked nothing like on the webb site. Stay away from this place a bus shelter would be a better option. more

Beware, if this hotel ever looked like it does on it's website it was a very long time ago. We saw a review in the Lonely Planet guide that led us to the somewhat misleading website As has been stated in other reviews, the rooms are very small, some have opaque windows that do not open. The stairs are very... more

We booked directly in the foyer of L'Otel a week prior to staying because the property we wished to stay at was booked out. We were a bit disconcerted to have to pay the entire amount straight up - but did so anyway. On coming home I chanced upon the reviews and became rather alarmed. The hotel's webpage portrays a... more
