We stayed at the Intercontinental for my husbands 40th birthday. The hotel is in a superb location and is just a couple minutes walk from circular quay and about 5 minute walk the other direction to Sydney's shopping hub. The hotel is a beautiful historic sandstone building with restored original features. Room was spacious and very clean. We had a... More

Once again we had a really great stay at the Intercontinental in Sydney. Our room was on Level 23 with a magnificent view of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and it was fun to just sit and watch the ferries going to and fro from Circular Quay. it is a view I never tire of even though I... The staff at the InterContinental Hotel is awesome! The from desk staff were friendly, helpful and kind. The were willing to take all the coins from our event and change it to bills to make it easier for us. The lounge staff was also very friendly. We felt very welcome at this hotel. We also had a great view of... More

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend for the horseracing in Rosehill and chose this hotel as a last minute hotel. We got a good deal and were very happy with the quality of the hotel. We have stayed in many hotels around the world and this we were not disapponted with the hotel. The room was spacious... More

Very hard to find a single fault in any aspect of our stay. The reception staff and concierge were most welcoming and helpful. We arrived too early for our room but were assisted with our bags and called us when the room was ready. The onsite Meat & Wine Co restaurant was fantastic too and breakfast was amazing! Highly recommended.

Our Daughter took my wife and I to Sydney for the Australia Day weekend this year and we stayed at the Intercontinental. We had an executive room with a marvellous view which was kept in immaculate condition. The only slight negative was the bathroom which could have been a bit larger with a separate shower but that was a minor... More

It all started with a rude staff at the reception... Long story short, I was just trying to get a simple (in my mind) allowance at the executive lounge (instead of from 12pm today to 11am tomorrow I wanted from 6am till 10pm on same day) and the lady at the reception just gave me a rude face as "it's... I am a huge Intercontinental Hotel fan and the Sydney one comes highly recommened. My first impressions were great - I arrived early and was given a lovely room with an upgraded view. I had booked a Club room which entitled you a few extras, and the Club lounge on the 31st floor. Now they must think this is the... More

I was torn how to rate this hotel. I can see how if you were in one of the water view rooms, you might have had a different experience, but mine was city view and it was good, not amazing. Hotel is pretty dated, but clean and the staff were polite/helpful. Great location for tourism and for business needs.

The overall experience was fine. The hotel locates in the city centre with walking distance to everywhere. They gave us a room at hight floor with great sea view. The bed was comfortable and there were a variety choices of pillows. Not so good - the bathroom was really small... There is a bath tube only, but no separated shower... More
