After a long haul flight, we were very tired yet excited about being in Syddney. On arrival at the hotel at around mid morning we found that we had to join a very long que at reception to check in as ther was only one member of staff on the desk! After a lenghty wait (30mins) we were greeted by... more

Started my Ibis experience with rude staff who had a poor command of English, combined with attitude because I don't have a credit card. Once I was finally booked in I then had to park my car in the carpark of the hotel next door, then lug my bags out of the carpark and across the front of the Novotel... more

Having read previous reviews of this hotel it was with trepidation that we arrived at the hotel. We were in Sydney for a long weekend of shopping, dining with a bit of sightseeing. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Yes the rooms are smallish but we both had two large suitcases and we were not tripping over them in the room.... more

Other than its superb location and if the pay the extra, its beautiful views of darling harbour, do not stay here if your looking for something comfortable. The rooms are TINY, far too small for two people. The beds are rock hard, and the bathroom is pretty squeezy aswell. It was clean though and it had looked like it had... more

Stayed at the Ibis in a Harbour View room whilst at a conference at the Convention Centre. Initially tried to book the Novotel next door, but no reasonably-priced rooms available. Check-in was fast and reasonably efficient. Lifts were a bit slow - had to wait several minutes at times. The halls were a bit tired looking, but the room was... more

We stayed at the Hotel Ibis for four nights in February. At first impression hotel seemed quite good for price although reception staff did not have a good command of English. However when we got to the room, it was miniscule, with a wardrobe area about 12 inches square, very little room to hang our clothes! It was a good... more

This place is in a great location admittedly but was over priced for such a shabby hotel, severe understaffing, only one lift out of three was working and the one that did had a mind of its own - took you all over the place before you got to where you were originally going. The room was dingy and small.... more

This hotel is only 2 minutes from the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre and just a short walk from Darling Harbour and Star City Casino. The Pyrmont view rooms are small and reasonably clean however I did notice that the shower either leaked or was used by the previous room occupant as there was water on the bathroom floor upon... more

Walked into a non air-conditioned and stuffy lobby with one person at reception had to wait over 25 mins to be checked in. Up to my room with one lift not working causing further delays, walked through dingy hall ways with stains throughout the carpet I enter my room, or was it a closet, not entirely sure. Smallest room in... more
