I booked here for 2 nights without realising the hotel is under renovation. My mistake. Still paying LOTS of money for very little. No nice lobby or bars , everything makeshift. I assumed it would be up to the standard of Sheraton by the Park. Another mistake. Only 2 towels, Uht milk and. Leaking air conditioner. Feeling VERY ripped off.... More

Firstly the rate charged was well over double the corporate rate that our company is supposed to pay. What a cheek when you are going through such a massive refurbishment and have to listen to drilling and angle grinders all day. I don't remember being told that there was a refurbishment under way at the time of booking but that... More

Staying in the hotel room was okay. It was cozy, tidy, small and average. Bathroom is small as well as the wardrobe but it was nice and tidy. There was some renovation going on when my partner and I were there and we both believed that had the construction not been there it would have been a bit more brilliant.... More

Great business hotel in central location. My room was large and clean and looked out over Darling Harbour. They were in the middle of a large program of renovations when I stayed, so there was scaffolding and plastic sheeting everywhere and the gym was closed. This did not bother me on a business trip, but check with the hotel if... More

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. When benchmarked against quality hotels in Australia, this place is just average. Rooms are ok, staff were adequate, location is great. Stayed for a full week and have better experiences at other hotels. The problem with this place is that nothing differentiates it from others. The parking situation is poor. Poorly understood... The hotel was nice, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it is in a good location, being close to Darling Harbour. We could walk to the Aquarium and other attractions. However, my one complaint is that the hotel is undergoing renovations and the noise of the workmen drilling in the morning was not appreciated. I think the... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights, nice comfortable room and I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the barista coffee's. Nothing stood out as amazing but you generally get what you expect from Sheraton, a good business hotel located centrally across the road from a train station and minutes to all the main shopping in the centre of Sydney.

Quite underwhelmed... Our kids bought us a very expensive night here - $567 - to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We could overlook the fact that renovations are taking place so there are no lobby spaces open at the moment - a very unattractive entrance in their place - but... there was no acknowledgement of the occasion. The bed was not... More

My sister and I spent three nights at the Four Points by Sheraton. We chose this hotel, because we wanted somewhere central to Darling Harbour. The room was clean and well appointed, and the view of the harbour from the window was stunning. We found the staff (particularly the concierge staff) to be very friendly and helpful. Despite the constrain... More

We have made allowances for the hotel undergoing major renovations at the time of our visit, which was made very clear to us at the time of reservation. There was no allowances made for this with our booking (ie full booking charges + the breakfast @ $38.00 per person) We do stay at a few hotels through the city &... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
