The Rendezvous Hotel was recommended to us by both our son & friends who had stayed there. We found it very convenient because we had travelled from Adelaide on the train & only needed to walk across Railway Square to arrive at the hotel. It was also very handy as we used trains to get around as we were there.... More

bed sheets could be cleaner and changed more often during the 6-night stay. No slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste so please be reminded to bring your own. No door to the shower so the bathroom gets wet easily. But rooms are spacious and comfy enough. An average hotel, don't expect too much.

Best location near the central station. Staff are invisible and they were always behind the computers. No ine greeted you when i was in and out. The housekeeping is poor. They came at 8.30am and rushed to the room after 4 knocks. Sometimes work was left unfinished. Just like the location.

Very convenient location in city for short stays in city. Ready walking access to train from/to airport. Well priced choices for eating in district. Room size was generous although balcony disappointing. Rooftop pool was great.

This hotel is perfectly situated across the street from Central Station and ideal for people who are only looking for a clean room to sleep while exploring the city the rest of the time. There is a small pool on the roof for cooling down as well as a sauna. The in-house restaurant is functional and great if you've spent... More

Poor location, disorganized front desk staff, no concierge or taxi pick up. Rooms were very noisy, with uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff was polite. Don't recommend this hotel - needs an update!

Hotel is in a great location, close to train, bus, cafes, Darling Harbour. I was most disappointed in the rooftop. The photos on the website are definitely misleading, it needs some serious renovation.

A romantic trip taking in an event in Sydney. Flowers purchased but not taken to the room. The cleaner felt she had to knock on the door and ask if we wanted the room clean. No sign to put out to say "Do not disturb" Clean and basic but too pricey - not recommended

My family have booked a room for my Dad's birthday on February 6,2016 so he could enjoy the city area and relax at the hotel. We stayed at room 306. At around 1.30am my brother and I were watching tv and my mom was preparing to go to bed. Suddenly at around 2am we could hear water gushing from the... More

Stayed here with a friend for New Years 2015. The location was brilliant and it was very reasonably priced considering the time of year. Right next to the train station which was perfect to get the train to the airport. It was about a half an hour walk to the Opera House etc. and we got a see a lot... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
