We got an amazing deal on booking.com so we were not really expecting too much from our 1night visit. Ideally situated a few minutes walk from Central railway station and Chinatown and about 20 minutes walk to centre of Darling Harbour, this is worth a visit. Reception staff were friendly and efficient and although we were unable to checkin until... More

I had a sleepless night due to noise levels in the room next door. I didn't complain and should have. There were many people in this room who were talking loudly all night. Didn't appreciate the cockroach in the room either.

Helpful and friendly staff, cool water in the lobby, rooftop pool….this place was great to call home for 3 nights. Reasonably close to most things, the location is good. Bathroom in our room was a little tired and our bed and pillows were a bit soft for my liking, but overall I would recommend this Hotel.

My partner and I stay in Sydney 2 or 3 times a year for functions and always choose the Rendezvous hotel in central. We really appreciate it's location (you can literally see central station out your hotel window), the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. It's a bonus that we can drive up and have secure... More

I stayed on a Friday & Saturday night in (Aussie) holiday season. I paid somewhere around $300 for the two nights on an advance booking deal (pay in full on booking). The value here was brilliant for a Sydney stay. Whilst it might not be in the heart of all things to do and see in Sydney, I was looking... More

Good value depending on what rate you paid. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Rooftop pool with views. 5 min walk to train station. Sydney has excellent transport system so felt like everything was close. Local eateries near by.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and great service. Restaurant turned out to be good value and good food. Even gluten free was available. Room was good value for money and we lacked nothing. some free WiFi was good news. Very handy to buses and trains to anywhere.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
