nice hotel, incredible views, infact best views, premium prices. but i felt we didnt feel like we were connected to anything Shangri-La other than check-in and get to your room. its good to have a fast check-in but its always nice when you go to such expensive hotels to feel like you have someone waiting for you to talk to... Located near Circular Quay, For me the lobby and the reception area is just average. The Cumberland street, is located near the freeway, and its on an elevated street, way up above the normal street level and would be very very hard to locate if coming from George St. The elevator is so small and 100 percent of the guest... Front desk was an excellent experience. Room had a view of the Sydney Operat House, Sydney Harbour Bridge. Disappointment was the general restaurant - standard has been high in the past. Table was sticky from poor food wipes, varnish or veneer had worn badly - needs work. Service was slow, but fortunately the buffet was still excellent. Coffee shop in... More

We booked at the Shangri la Sydney and I must say that we did have an enjoyable time. The hotel is well located and is run reasonably well however its not a patch on the Shangri las of Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong or Sabah (Rasa Ria). The rooms are getting a little outdated, the breakfast buffet was OK but the... More

Great venue but air conditioning was very dry causing me sleep problem. Had to keep two bottles of water by the bed. Service, food and spar were very good. Steep walk to the rocks was a bit of a pain.

I had a wonderful stay here. I found the room to be much larger than expected and had the best imaginable view out over the Opera House and Bridge. Because its slightly up the hill it can be a very slight walk (very slight) but its worth it for the incredible views. Its also about a 10 minute flat walk... More

Really pleased with this hotel, the views were absolutely stunning (that's what you pay for!). The bed was really comfortable, noise was minimal. Mini bar is expensive but then it always would be in an expensive hotel. Pool is lovely and calming, they also have a gym and a very expensive spa (but again, that's to be expected in such... More

Stayed on the 16th floor with a breathtaking view of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pretty close to everything. Room service was so expensive and so was the restaurant and at the restaurant on the 36th floor you don't get much for what you pay, but the food is delicious. The staff... More

We stayed 5 nights on the 21st floor with a gorgeous view of harbor bridge and Sydney Opera House. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious even with an additional bed for our son. The bathroom was spacious with a seperate shower and tub. The staffs were nice and helpful. Bottle water was provided daily. The breakfast had... More

The best part of the hotel is the amazing view of the Opera House on one side and the cruise terminal. The Sydney bridge is next door. The service is good and so is the breakfast spread. Public transport is easily accessible and the higher floor rooms are recommended
