This hotel is right in the thick of the nightclub scene in kings cross, people seemed to be bringing their parties back to the rooms and the walls were very thin as we could hear everything. Also, no curtain over the window meant we couldn't sleep in for the light getting in. Definitely more of a 3 star level hotel... more

Nice frontage to the hotel,and the whole stay was great. Really helpful nice staff,nice room-comfy bed,great plasma TV,nice bathroom with a big bath,good fridge,linen,cleanliness and nice and quiet. I stayed at the Kirketon with my girlfriend in September after a staff gathering at a local restaurant. We stayed in a Surperior Room which i have to say is one of the nicest hotel rooms I have seen in a long time! I arrived at the Kirketon early, tired and in desperate need of a shower before a busy day of meetings. The friendly staff turned my room around in twenty minutes whilst I had a coffee. They followed up on this impressive service by printing documents for me, booking cabs and giving me tips and pointers about where to find things.... more

BEWARE SELF RATED HOTELS. If someone independant was rating the Kirketon it would be 3 stars at best. Yes, the rooms are small but that's OK. It was the cleanlinss of the room that shocked me. On wotif.com these guys self rate at 5 star. Well if that's the case then I’m George Clooney. Realistically this would be 3 star at best.
