I booked 2 nights at this hotel for a weekend away for my boyfriend's birthday, hoping it would be a special experience. However overall we were quite disappointed: * The room wasn't sound-proof; we could hear kids yelling in the hallway, a couple having sex in a nearby room, & the squeaky house-keeping trolleys rolling back & forth. * We... Great rooms, super quiet. Location near Surry Hills, Oxford St and CBD is a nice change from the busy areas of Darling Harbour. The staff are great and the makeover has made this a nice modern hotel worth considering.

I had booked a room with a big outdoor terrace, which seemed to be a good choice for me but maybe not perfect for all: 8th floor with views to the backyard/parking lot/residential neighbourhood. The terrace is big, though, with a single sunbed and a table for four. I had some issues with the check-in process and cleanliness of the... More

I 'd appreciate if you'd take the time to respond to my comments regarding our recent stay at the Pullman Hyde Park. We live in the Upper Hunter Valley and stay in Sydney frequently on business. I have recently started to book rooms via the Wotif ' Mystery Hotel' deal and have to date found that if we book via... More

We paid $430 per night for a room for four people with two double beds. On arrival we find only 3 bath towels, 2 coffee cups and 2 glasses - not good when the hotel took payment for 4 people. Pillows were like sacks of wheat and the beds were in need of replacement as they sagged too much

Had a wonderful stay overlooking Hyde Park. Staff were incredible particularly Show Linn in the restaurant. Very friendly and super helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic!!! Room was clean. Great Pool. The gym could be monitored so children weren't allowed in there to play! Very unpleasant trying to work out with kids playing on equipment while parents sit in the spa... More

From the time we signed in the service and attention was excellent. Nothing was a problem. The breakfast was exceptional for the price paid. It was in close walking distance to the city and public transport.

We loved our one night stay at the Pullman. The staff were extremely accommodating and made our stay extra special with an unexpected birthday cake delivered to our door for my husbands 30th. The room was clean and spacious with amazing views of the city and Hyde park (we were on a high floor - level 20). The pool was... More

Stayed here Australia Day Weekend. Checkin was fine. Anastasia went out of her way to let us know what was on around the hotel and in Hyde Park. Big problem is the slowness of the passenger lifts. Almost full house and ques to get in and out of the lifts. Make sure you check your bill (nervous about using the... More

Excellent rooms, facilities and staff. Car parking is affordable and right on site ~ not 500 metres away as is the case with some hotels. The location is also spot on and in walking or affordable cab trip to most city attractions. The only thing is that pool is quite small, and was filled with families (children) on our recent... Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
